It’s been a couple hours at this point, I’ve never experienced more than 10-20 minutes to wait. Is there something going on currently causing disruption with the service?
It can take up to 24 hours to fully go through. If it takes longer than that, submit a Purchase Failure ticket.
TAKING Soooooo long usually its so quick
Theres alot of traffic volume on the processing server for character services. Just need to be patient.
Make sure you or anyone else has not mailed anything to those toons, if they have it will stall the process and youl need to submit a problem with purchase ticket
Blizzard team sending us mail to slow down transfer times hahaha
I’m not currently seeing any transfers on either of the World of Warcraft accounts associated with your Blizzard account. I also don’t see any recent character transfer purchases from your Blizzard account.
Looks like yours has gone through at this point.
Waited around 6 hours today for the a faction change to go through. Now I’m working on another who knows how long for the server transfer to process. I expect it’s out of control for whoever manages the service but it’s just not what I expected.
It’s been kind of crazy that the delay for these are so long when population in the past was way larger but the process never took over 20 minutes or something.
Greater demand on the service, considering we have something that has never been available before (cross faction game play).
Been 2 hours for mine so far. Blizzard were quick to take my money. If there is going to be such a delay we should be told before we purchase. The message on the login screen says it may take a few minutes…
90% of the time they are instant they can be failed if u send mail to the toon just as u transfers which causes it to fail. But all transactions can take up 2 24hrs if its more then 24hrs open a purchase failure ticket.
Yeah mine is taking a while right now, changed my main back to his original server and I’m still waiting after a few hours
Edit: We’re in!
My druid Azayr has been in a transfer process for over 2 hours. I was hoping to get him turned to horde to raid but i guess that isnt happening tonight.
Same. I’ve started a few transfers and faction changes over the past few days. I have a Faction Change now that is in process, but is far outside of the “normal” time frame. Typically Faction Changes happen nearly immediately. This one is not moving; been almost 45 minutes.
I am also waiting for a transfer that has usually only taken less than an hour. Must be a lot of people wanting to leave Argent Dawn these days. XD
As it keeps being repeated in all of these multiple threads -
Character services can take up to 24 hours to process. Normally they don’t take that long. Since the faction change bundles were released and the sale too, processing times are varying.
If it goes past the 24 hour mark, please file a ticket under “Purchase Failure.” Until that marker though, it’s just a waiting game.
I followed the steps for the transfer (no heirlooms/pets/mail etc) and I cant even tell if the transfer went thru or not. I still have my token for the transfer. After i try to transfer it looks like its done but nothing happens.
I purchased the 3-pack of character transfers and there’s nothing popping up for me to even be able to start the transfer, let alone complain about a long processing time for that lol. I did get a receipt, but I’m not sure if I’m missing something? I’ve never purchased more than one at a time and of course, usually you input the destination server at the time of purchase…
Just clearing through the most obvious possible issue - you did purchase these for Retail, correct? I only ask because you’re posting from a Classic character and the bundles are limited to the Retail client.
I had purchased a 3 pack a couple weeks ago and just used the 3rd one about 3 days ago. It was complete when I logged in the next day. Just must be bogged down as someone else said earlier.
Oh yeah, I didn’t even realize this character was selected here until I posted lol. Definitely selected the transfers on retail.
