That’s $9500 for that amount. Who would pay so much just to not even get world first?

BRB buying gear better than full mythic gear in the wow shop

oh wait… can’t do that?

You won the AOTC mounts, title, and probably some gear. I’m glad I could clear this up for you.

Indeed, and I doubt they used the token to pay for it. Would likely be much more efficient to literally pay them. Still, you brought up buying HoF. Just wanted to relay that people actually do buy HoF.

It’s not cleared up. Everyone in the raid got the mount so there was no competition for it. Also, people that didn’t pay gold got the mount too.

(and no I didn’t get gear. I wouldn’t pay for something that would be replaced in a few months)

p.s. You didn’t explain how it was different than buying a crafted mount from someone and why that’s not considered p2w.

I wouldn’t even say you bought the AOTC mounts. What you bought was a raid invite. According to Blizzard, having your corpse present during a boss fight while the boss dies still counts as successfully completing the content. So per the pre-established rules of the game, you earned the AOTC mount.

Is that different from running with your own guild and being an active contributor to the guild’s success? Yes obviously but let warcraftlogs worry about how much each individual player is contributing. (Turns out you can’t buy your way to purple parses either and that’s what I consider “winning.”)

I draw the line at P2W stuff at what the game company itself will sell me. Not what I can get from paying other players.

FUnny thing about this is that, I personally know people that bought tokens just to buy carries. Lol if they do it 100% a lot more people are doing it.

you paid to have that raid spot that you wouldnt have gotten if you didnt pay.

Sure, but the HoF buys probably just sent them a check.

That’s not true. I could have got that raid slot for free.

Then why didnt you go for free?

Obligatory “lol Anon thread”… Imagine maintaining a subscription to a video game for the express purpose of s**tposting on its forums.

This RWF is “Pay to Win” in the same way that literally any professional sport where players are traded and contracts are negotiated is “Pay to Win.” A team can spend tons of money on good players, good coaches, good staff, good equipment and gain an advantage over those with less cash to throw around. But it’s no guarantee, and end of the day it’s going to come down to the skill of the people involved.

Same reason I don’t pick up engineering: didn’t feel like it.

Shill: Noun: an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others.

The saddest part is that Blizzards greatest achievement wasn’t making the game pay to win; it was in convincing so many of it’s players that paying and winning is somehow not pay to win and is in fact so normal that they come together to defend the practice while funneling them millions of real dollars.

Then there you go, you paid for the fact that you “didn’t feel like it”
