People dropping mid key isn’t exactly a “Wah, people don’t want to play with me” type of situation. It’s something that happens because people can be extremely rude. Wasting other peoples keys like that.
I’ve never had anyone leave in the middle of a key, so I couldn’t say.
Not surprising, it’s honestly more of a bottom to mid key level issue. I’ve heard that problem levels off after you get up a bit higher in keys. It’s a matter of getting up there before the toxic want to be elite people come rushing in.
I think it’s more likely because I’ve never pugged a key.
Yeah, that helps to. Sadly guilds are not very great for me. I was in one long ago but that was a group of RL friends they are all long gone now days. Every guild just feels like a pug to me now. Been a bit of a lone wanderer after Wrath, god I miss Wrath.
yeah it sucks, people wont take locks cause they really just arent cut out for keys, its also super annoying when i get into a group and then they see im enh not ele and kick me
Every person i’ve seen whine about raider. io has been a terrible player.
Get rid of IO and people will just move on to another metric. you cant stop people from gatekeeping.
The community will replace it in a matter of days. Either with another addon or some other convention that functions essentially the same way.
The addon is the symptom, not the disease.
I personally would be fine with taking someone with a decent score on their main but a lower score on their alt, provided the alt has a sufficient ilvl. The high score on the main demonstrates that you know what you’re doing in keys which is the main purpose of IO.
I have no idea what I’m reading
Why again? They could have not invited you because they didn’t like your mog. Blizzard isn’t going to close IO, they embraced by adding their own cut down version of it to your armory page.
What’s more hilarious is that almost every thread that starts with LOL / LMAO / LMBO ends up with the OP getting chewed up instead of whatever the OP was lol’ing at.
Its too bad you can’t start your own groups so you decide who joins or not.
I honestly wonder what it is that makes someone decide “you know what this game needs, a way to take XYZ feature and turn it into gatekeeping”. Like what goes through the minds of people who make addons like Gearscore or RIO? Do they legit feel it’s going to be helpful, or are just elitist jackasses who know it will be abused and don’t care?
I sometimes wonder how some of these addon creators decide that the game really needs this when it worked fine without it. Sometimes I wsh Blizzard would close the API entirely.
…or maybe it was created by people who were sick of wiping because there wasn’t a system in place to divide those who are ready and those who are not.
Infinite Res’s in ESO and anyone can do it
Infinite res, yes, but also every single mechanic oneshots people and res takes time which you can be oneshotted during it.
Same for ff14, but only healers and red mage can res. WoW doesn’t oneshot that often. Or at all.
Probably why they need infinite res’s
People want to measure people. Ranking systems are common.
The addon itself is fine, a good way to show “progression” not necessarily Skills or Getting Carried.
Some people use it on the extreme as a size fit all.
