Thank goodness I do not run mythic+
So many headaches I’d have.

So you can join Ragnaros groups?
LMAO how many threads are you going to make about Raid IO? Want it down then complain to the creators of IO as this has nothing to do with Blizzard. The website will give people the same info.
Maybe find a guild or friends or create your own groups if you can’t get in a m+ or raid group.
Its not perfect though, i’ve seen 3k+ IO players being complete turds (shoutout to Demon Hunter players who don’t know what Skittish does). And yes, if you die 12+ times in a key (solo deaths, no wipes) you’re bad, regardless of your IO.
Problem is that there’s no consistency in term of affix difficulty. Pushing 3k+ in a Fortified/Sanguine/Quaking week (like what’s coming in a couple week) doesn’t mean much. You just have to be there for it.
Used to be gearscore, then openraid had their thing… always gonna be some kind of tracker, always gonna be some elite wanna be at the top.
Hopefully with bliz connecting realms more guilds will take their place.
OP is on Dalaran which is a high population server - it isn’t lack of people that is the issue.
Until the game undergoes a revolution in who gets to access content in a future SL patch or future WoW expansion, this is pretty much it.
Elitists have the weapons at their disposal.
So we also should completely remove pvp ranks and its system. I want to pvp with terrible players but try to win. Literally RIO is the same as a pvp ranking system. Blizz has even considered adding a ranking system to M+ like RIO.
Do you pvp? Try getting into pvp with a bad rank. Same with RIO. Work your score up.
At the high end? Probably the same, they’d just have external overlays and timer buttons people would press. Ban that and people would just get a member of the raid team to use a stopwatch or use it on a computer without WoW running /shrug. Heck you could prerecord the whole thing as an MP3 and just send it out as ‘music’ to the entire team. There are a million ways to basically do this sort of thing.
The better way IMO is to make boss fights more self explanatory. Keep out zones are clearly marked by ground effects. Things needing to be interrupted cause an effect and flash the appropriate spell on the player’s bars etc. At that point you don’t need DBM to remind you that “Big nasty effect X” is coming… you can see the cast starting and see where is safe on the floor.
Some of you guys here are outright terrible. Not as a player but as people.
“Git gud”
“Deal with it”
“Get a guild”
“Nobody is obligated to invite you”
“Raise your IO”
“Make your own group” -Thanks Dexterworgen xD
I mean seriously? Is that really the best advice yall can come up with?
Sheesh.
I at least don’t mind, have never complained or even cared about RIO but this is a whole another unnecessary feature that parses people between a genuinely nice people who just want to play the game and a total jackasses that want to minmax out of people.
EDIT: @OP, Rags gotta Rag you know?
They are defending the core problem with the game with their advice.
That’s the problem.
Well it is on my server. We only have a handful of guilds that raid. Anytime I don’t have to join a Q is a good day.
I personally don’t run M+ that much, maybe once a month i’ll run one.
I use RIO for raiding progress, someone linking AOTC isn’t always enough (especially if RIO says they’re 1/12H).
I would invite into a heroic raid someone with 12/12N and 3/12H over someone who ONLY has 3000IO score from M+.
Some people invite to Raid based on M+ and that is wrong because it doesn’t mean they know the mechanics of the raid.
Don’t let it get you down. A well geared warlock is completely viable for anything up to a 25 maybe more. The problem is the top groups setting the standard aren’t taking warlocks and it is nothing to do with their damage it’s the immunitys and utility needed from classes that are a little better at doing it. Warlocks unfortunately got a bar wrap from the begging of this expansion when their damage was trash too. Now they are amazing damage but no one seems to get that
Yeah, you can pretty much guarantee you’ll have an “interesting” time whenever you see that server name pop up.
I don’t understand the problem here, you have a main at 2.4k but you’re playing on an alt who appears to have way less? Why would they invite you because on that character you applied to join with isn’t nearly as good as your main. I was a bit confused reading it all and then I saw “rag” and it makes perfect sense.
That doesn’t guarantee anything. The chance that someone bails early is pretty high now days.
All I’m seeing is a group preventing their key from failing and you being on the wrong end of the stick. Why not lower keys to boost your alt’s io rating so people know you know how to play the alt at the same level.
No one is obligated to invite you to their group.
Players have free agency to build groups however they see fit. If you don’t like how someone builds their group, too bad.
You, too, are free to form a group however you see fit.
