Lol! Poor Malfurion man

I just finished the epilogue quest of the Amildrassil and was legit expecting him to walk out the portal just as Ysera went in, then embrace Tyrande as the closing or something. But nope! They legit just forgot that man is in Ardenweald, Ysera or no Ysera, it seems. I’m kidding, I know they’ll likely bring him back sooner or later. However, it just feels odd that at that moment, and in the grand scheme of things, he had nothing to do with the birth of Amildrassil or this patch. Farewell Malfurion, you were a nice druid guy lol. May you rest in peace.

He went back to sleep. lol.

Gets out a can of cheeze whiz, and sprays it on his hand while he’s asleep. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I am far more mad they did basically nothing at all with Ysera.

Mad that there wasn’t anything important for Ysera to do or mad that Merithra could’ve done the same stuff?

…or mad that Ysera had barely offered any interactions?

Malfurion was so cool.
Just like Thrall, Arthas, Illidan, and Sylvanas.

But now they’re been butchered beyond recognition.

If Illidain can be fixed, we still have time for Thrall and Sylvanas. :memo::robot:

Malfurion is an absolute king when it comes to building a reputation for yourself. He has to have one of the highest [Reputation] to [Actually Doing Stuff] ratios of all time.

Like imagine how difficult it must be for everyone to say you are the best at your job, and everyone knows your name, and you ain’t even doing anything.

I feel like Tyrande is just gonna go full snu snu if they included a scene of Malfurion returning.

Malfurion is the single most powerful druid, like, ever. He’s as powerful as the wild gods. He’s crazy. He’s insane. He probably kicked butt in the war with Huln Highmountain, look, I don’t do lore things, I don’t remember what it was called.

And we spent four consecutive expansions saving his life because he’s apparently also the single most inept NPC in the game except maybe Anduin, who is not actually personally responsible for his own bad luck.

What did Malfurion do? Look useless? Sound worse? And yet, we’re all supposed to feel really bad that Mrs. Anger Management Problems is losing her husband (again)? You’re absolutely right, his ratio of rep to accomplishment is sky-high.

Malfurion was such a cool character.
Sadly, bored writers who want to rewrite the script of Avengers got control of his narrative.

Hopefully with blue hair, wingless arms, huge, white antlers, and flowy, black capes

Yes.

Also made that all of this and swapping out Mal was useless because of all the above. lol

Oh its absolutely ridiculous. He’s the main night elf when it comes to their ties with the emerald dream. I find it especially galling because Ysera had no real reason to be there. Nothing they couldn’t have just had Merithra do.

We already said goodbye to Ysera, and then got the catharsis of seeing her reborn in ardenweald. Bringing her back again just kind of cheapens all that previous stuff with her. Also her presence just detracted from Merithra’s own character growth. She didn’t really get to step up to face this threat herself. Her mum held her hand the entire way!

Tyrande got to live, she didn’t suffer much in 10.2, the NE get a new home… yeah no she can stay without her darling husband a good while longer. I don’t really care to see her happy right now…just glad NE aren’t immortal again if anything so she can die down the road.

Can’t have any cool male characters. Dude was beast in WC3 and in that one cinematic where he buried a greenskin alive, brutal.

And when you think about the fact that he is literally the first druid and the most powerful of them, this entire situation becomes more ridiculous and non sense.

Illidan deserved better.
