Login problem

I normally wouldn’t go this route, but I haven’t found another one. I’m trying to login and it wants to use my authenticator even though it hasn’t been used for a long time due to the mobile app not working on a pay as you go service provider. I have changed service providers and I have downloaded the app, but when I try to login it wants the authenticator code which I can’t get. I’ve tried updating my phone number, but I run into the same problem. I’ve tried detaching the authenticator, but same problem and now I am feeling bricked and I don’t know what to do. I would like to talk to a person about it, but couldn’t find a number.

The inbound phone line has been disconnected for more than a decade, I’m afraid. Tickets are the only avenue to contacting a game master.

Is this behavior the same when you’re waiting for the app to prompt you as well as trying to get a manual code through the app? Can you clarify what you mean by the app “not working”?

There is no number, but you can put in a ticket with out being able to login. You’ll need to do that, get the authenticator removed. You might have to get a browser you are not logged into the forums for, and when you go to the support page chose I can’t login.

Technically this was phone notifications. You should be able to use this now with a prepaid, but since you changed providers, you need to remove the old authenticator first.

I can’t login to the app because it wants an authenticator code. Old phone no longer works so I can’t get a code.

The service I had before was pay as you go, and the authenticator just doesn’t work with it for whatever reason. I no longer have that service and am on a regular service plan. The fact that the bnet launcher suddenly wants to use the old authenticator confuses me since I haven’t used it in a long time due to it not working with pay as you go service. I thought I already had it detachted because of that, but I guess not.

Ah, then yes. As Kozzae mentioned, you’d need to start with having it removed from your account first, via tickets.

“Can’t Log In” would be the ideal route in this case.

Copy that URL into another tab and just click “Continue”.

If it asks you to log in to submit, there should be an option at the bottom with alternative ways to log in.

want authenticator code or send text. account is pointing to old phone number because I seem to have forgotten to update it.

Did I just lose an entire account because of this and because I can’t contact a blizzard person to help resolve this issue?

You didn’t have the third option to verify account information? The big blue button under those two options.

You need to be on a browser that is not logged into the forums, it’s pulling your account cookie causing the issue.

Go to that browser, and to the support page.

It will ask you to login, just chose the one that says you can’t, then remove authenticator.

Yeah it did have that other option, but for some reason I got it in my head it just went to something else. Man the stress is getting to me.
