That’s nearly everything now days.
Lawyers, investors, and marketing teams run everything… Problem is they don’t know Jack about the product and worse, most don’t care.

When people start making sport allegories to prove a point on a video game, you know it’s good. Thanks for the laughs.
What kind of stupid comparison is this? You are required to pass tests to drive which includes knowing traffic laws. There is no such requirement to play a video game.
This is one of the dumbest things I’ve read all week.
Really? Game has been out 3 months and you’re saying it’s past the point of no return for starting? Wonder how all those people who started 6 months to a year after Vanilla launched were ever able to play?
It takes effort.
Really? Cuz DM says hello. Yes Diremaul is a catch up dungeon. So is ZG. ZG isn’t even out yet. So there’s that. Lol.
Dungeon sets aren’t that hard to get either.
Well. No. Not with this attitude.
“Whether you think you can or think you can’t…you’re right”.
Same as above.
Know what I see a lot of? X class LFG for X dungeon. Change that LFG to LFM and they might get better results. There’s that can’t thing stopping ya again. Smh.
Only when my opinion is right. Lol. Welcome to human nature.
The other poster comments on you having some facts infused with other things are spot on. You need to think more hard about what logic is, how it works and benefits and negatives about it. You can’t say that you are thinking about it objectively because you don’t have a dog in the fight, it helps facilitate this but is neither necessary nor a direct agent for always causing objective thinking.
You cannot view a topic objectively and through another point of view at the same time. This is literally impossible. My OP is an objective viewpoint, this is why I stated I have no dog in this fight.
You cannot pass judgement without having another view, you cannot judge what is objective without having another view, it’s impossible. You can’t say you’re using the facts to govern how you’re looking at the facts. That’s not how it works. You can’t get an ought from an is.
None of this is to say that I agree with Blizzard should or shouldn’t do anything, however while your post can be very agreeable it also runs into another problem that logic tends to- it is very beholden to the belief that belies it, I and others have looked at Blizzard and we’re not ignorant to their bad or wayward changes, so when you expect Blizzard to do anything in particular, including being consistent, you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up, it wouldn’t be rational.
Then you paid no attention at all because the information was there.
All I hear from disingenuous people like yourself is white noise. Your arguments are void.
Others should treat these people the same.
This thread is like 10 Dwight Schrute’s arguing.
It’s not. If you truly care about how Classic is going to be handled, why wouldn’t you read up on it?
They made the announcement about increasing the Server Cap. And 9 Days ago, they announced releasing BGs https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/classic-content-unlocking-in-december/368940
. They mentioned the release of Dire Maul, etc. Perhaps maybe you’re new here around these forums
Most of them never reached 60.
So your level 20 is going to go into Dire Maul. Or are you planning on having them skip leveling entirely?
These are “catchup” dungeons for people who aren’t very far behind. People who are just getting started are going to have difficulty finding anyone to do any dungeon with.
I know you’re limiting “dungeons” to 60 level dungeons. At this point though, lower level dungeons are few and far between.
It’s a fact. If someone is just starting now, and they don’t have a good friend to carry them, they aren’t going to take the place of an established raider who has bis gear and all their attunements.
There’s a reason why poaching was so common in earlier expansions.
And I see a lot of people looking to do rfc and wc. And bfd. And rfk. And finding no one who wants to fill in the group.
It is actually human nature that you are not even aware of your unfounded prejudices.
I’m not sure what your definition of “read up on it” entails. The idea that someone who hasn’t been obsessed with vanilla/private servers/classic for 15 years would spend many hours doing research to answer questions they don’t even have is rather tunnel vision.
Even if you spend many hours studying and researching the game, most people who play videogames do not. They are there to play, not do a research project as a second job that is going to get graded. And especially they aren’t going to go digging after details that have been glossed over in the marketing text. They aren’t going to spend hours every day reading every post on the classic beta/ptr forums.
This is a game, a form of cheap entertainment. Just because you have made it a way of life doesn’t mean most people would agree that light entertainment only somewhat more interactive than television merits the second job treatment.
Perhaps you are new. It’s been a longstanding issue that often important notifications come out anywhere but on the forums, most often on outside websites.
Are you seriously trying to convince us that a notification made 9 days ago should have affected someone’s choice of server back in August?
Even before Classic came out, there were so many changes to the Standard Game. For example, the elimination of Gankfest Servers 'cause 15 years of players whining about rolling on Gankfest Servers and getting ganked
You had to research Addons, Quest Locations (before they were marked), raid mechanics, etc. Why wouldn’t you ensure Classic wouldn’t change too much away from Vanilla?
I’m not just talking about the announcement made 9 days ago. Others pointed out the Server Cap announcement link. Just proving that they have been making announcements and perhaps you’re new or extremely blind to it
Your argument that they “don’t” make announcements on the forums is invalid. Because we (generally speaking) showed you that they have been making announcements on these forums
I apologize, as I was responding to another thread made by some whiny Internet tough guy who likes to belittle others.
To address your post in particular, I find that your “logic” is based on many assumptions because you are looking at this issue through your own eyes and not trying to see anyone else’s point-of-view.
For example, you incorrectly assume that everyone saw every single “blue post” about the game and then some people decided to ignore them and subsequently complain.
Also, you are looking at this issue from the dominating side of the game, and I’m sure the experience is much different for the less populated side.
Further, your population cap figures aren’t taking into consideration how a much larger population means there are vastly more gank squads and people camping others practically everywhere above lvl 40.
These are but a few of your assumptions incorrectly labeled as “logic.”
Apology accepted
That said…
And to those claiming that starting over isn’t possible “because you will never reach 60 and never raid”, please explain how some of us can have multiple 60s? In addition, raiding late is actually beneficial since most people would have their gear so there would be less competition for drops. You’re more likely to win something then the only other option is to disenchant it.
I also have no dog in this hunt, however this situation is quite interesting. The OP presents facts, but it’s still not evidence in your eyes?
Almost everyone with a problem on PVP servers claim to love them. They also claim this isn’t what they signed up for, expecting a “balanced” server and fair fights, which is a battle ground or arena, not open world PVP.
I have watched a few of the videos of some of these folks, landing solo at the TP flight path, being murdered and using fellow Alliance players as a distraction to further the death run instead of organizing and die. All trying to get to a dungeon or raid… PVE content.
They’re also such great PVP warriors a PVE server is out of the question and insulting to even suggest. And if we are ever seen by them, we would be beaten down in a one on one fight.
If you do the same thing, over and over expecting a different outcome… then complain the the game maker about the things that have gone on in PVP servers for 15 years, you’re not exactly being rational. It’s not surprising you can’t accept facts.
But you do you. You keep wasting time, never admitting that PVE content is what you’re actually more interested in doing. And keep believing you love WPVP, and it only exists on PVP servers. And we will be here, sunbathing on a float in the river of PVP tears.
There was no information. There was a semi accurate census addon that blizzard bricked day 1. Dont pretend like alliance players had any accurate or official info to help choose their server.
15 years of documented evidence showing how God awful Gankfest Servers are should’ve been enough “warning”
They made plenty of posts saying that the population levels would be higher. Nice big blue post and everything. Some posts about Classic were even stickied on the forums, so that when you came to the Classic section you saw it at the top of the screen. The Classic devs have been remarkably communicative, especially during the pre-launch period. If you didn’t see it, you were living under a rock, or too busy yiffing in the Goldshire Inn.
They don’t like the consequences of their actions, and are trying to cry to the cop to get it changed.
They basically just assume if you’re on a PvP server all you want to do is PvP and only PvP when 95% of the game revolves around PvE content to progress your character through the game leveling or getting gear. I play on a PvP server for the added gameplay that it brings and the extra level of danger. Not to be on a server that is 75/25 with massive gank raids invading every zone in the game.
It isnt enjoyable for either faction really. World PvP for them is the equivalent of LFR content seeing as there is no challenge what so ever in 8 v 1 pvp. Theyre doing it because theyre honor starved and have no way to farm honor outside of forming raids and invading cities and ganking flight paths. Meanwhile being the 1v8 guy just makes the game unplayable seeing as you cant enter any zone without getting camped. If they locked the server transfers by faction to begin with to keep server factions balanced the server faction imbalance wouldnt be what it is today. I dont really understand how the horde can want to play on a server with no challenge in pvp it sounds just as boring as playing on a pve server.
Players rolling on a PvP server to PvP either got what they wanted, or ignored available faction balance information.
When I first started playing on kromkrush, the census were showing an even balance. Blizzard then removed the census addon, and eventually it became 70:30 horde favoured.
Being on the dominant faction, I was able to transfer, but the alliance are now unable to and are stuck in a lopsided imbalanced server.
