Since the latest patch install, I cannot access any of my characters as after 1-2 minutes of loading it comes back saying that my character is not found, and this is occurring across my entire account. Is anyone else having this issue?
I am as well. Azshara.
Same here, Illidan and Stormrage
But my issue is different. I get stuck at 70% and get disconnected after 2 minute sin the loading screen. Every other character works fine.
is blizzard going to refund money for the time lost caused by a terrible pre-patch launch? of course not
Update: got in now after “Character not found”
Legit WoD all over again sigh
Was really looking forward to playing pre patch hope you all can fix this soon! Thank you for all the efforts and overtime being spent, For Azeroth!
Mine wont even show characters, it says my population is incompatible across all servers and disconnects me when I try to log into any server.
i updated to latest nvidia driver and that message went away next time i logged in
Welp. I managed to log in with my character. Got all the way into the world, and as I was about to open my talent window… disconnected back to login screen.
Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I am able to log on to my account and when I try to log in my char it starts the loading and it freezes for a minute or two at one point and kicks me back to my character select screen with a message " Character not found" or " Character name already in use". If anyone has any advice it would be highly appreciated.
“A character with that name already exists”. Tried everything that support page says and nothing happened
the expansion already sucks
This is the error I get after I get character not found.

I’ve been stuck on Character not found for 2 hours… At this point I don’t even know if Blizz is working on it to fix the problem or not. Or if this is just a server issue. Tried relogging and updating everything and still nothing.
Do you have any active addons, Orangeglow? If you disable them do you still get the error? If not, my guess is that an older addon is reacting badly but might not have anything to do with the issue and just throwing up an error because it’s not functioning right.
I’m sure they are working on it. It’s patch day and this is pretty par for the course. Just find something to occupy your time and try to log in every 10-15 minutes. I got in after about 50 times of constantly starting and restarting the game, disabling addons and restarting computer.
^ This exactly, I’ve been playing since Wrath and it’s always been a rough start on a launch day. Just give the server engineers time I’m sure they’ll figure it out soon enough
Same problem here. I have 3 chars on Area-52 and 2 on Nemesis. I was logged as my main (Area-52) and got disconnected. After that I can’t see my char list on Area-52, but other realms work fine.
