Locking stable flying but not skyriding to pathfinder is stupid

Ohh I know about that particular participant of these discussions pushing for their way in the game. They pull out all the punches for pushing for their favor, but quick to look down on someone else who could just as be doing the same for themselves, just doesn’t have to happen to be something they are for. In that case they will see them as being lazy. lol

can you knock people who are static flying out of the air?

Then it is time for this:

  1. Any that give people hell for telling them to do the work, when they get on the case of those who are not doing work in other areas, is a hypocrite.
  2. Any that asks for something without doing the work is lazy
  3. any that do both of these, well, has ZERO room to complain and should likely not take part in any discussion where they are pushing for something

I gun for these kinds of people, and I am not a fan of taking prisoners in this case.

As far as I know, no, might be something for warmode/PvP though.

IDK what to tell you because I don’t have Skyriding. My husband does, though, and we’ve been leveling, together.

All of this talk about “options” is so ludicrous.

People will WILL choose the path of least resistance which is TBC flight.

And guess what why they chose to gate TBC flight behind pathfinder because they don’t want people to hover around and not interact with the world in the beginning. After all the hardwork of bringing the world together in development and drawing and making zones. So yeah I get why.

Also, TWW pathfinder is the least restrictive version out of them all and plus dragon isles pathfinder has already been removed as we speak.

That doesn’t make sense. Some people like to use DR, some people use TBC normal flying and then some use both.

That is why options are important.

Gating a tool like TBC normal flying for an expansion designed around three dimensions like DR doesn’t make sense.

The existence of patchfinder was supposedly a “compromise” that was that players were to explore the ground first for months on end.

As we all know that experiment failed with that ground and pound strategy with WoD. Also systemlands was another attempt at that by forcing players not only the ground for a long period of time but also no ground mounts in the maw. Which is why I am surprised you posted that systemlands was a ground mount friendly expansion which is not objectively or subjectively true.

just do pathfinder then.

they have been stupid easy to do.

Oh it definitely exists and in fact it is well known in the WoW community. That is why making such statements really is not helping your argument regarding locking TBC normal flying behind PF wall.

The problem is that you think that you can mislead the greater WoW player base but it is something that many WoW veteran have known for a long time.

It was a compromise that was never consulted with the players but that is what BlizZard said that patchfinder was. A supposed compromise because they learned that trying to remove TBC normal flying was a huge mistake in WoD.

Current PF isn’t a compromise either because you are treating people that can only use TBC normal flying as second rate when a flip of the switch solves a lot of problems.

another solid reason TWW will be terrible- same root cause though: fake sentiment from devs.

I do not know if it is fake sentiment or genuine. The problem is that they do not communicate properly on their own official channels.

You have one customer service person in EU saying one thing and then in the US saying another that reps for BlizZard.

I know it is a big company but they need to be on the same page. But we are on the same page regarding breaking the gate on TBC normal flying. PF gate must go bye bye for WoW to turn the page to a brighter future and away from a dark, dark era of WoW.

Well it’s a good thing I’m here to tell you that their PR pieces are fake sentiment from devs.

Well the worst part is that they are not sending their best based on what I am seeing. They lost control of the PR campaign regarding the toggle switch and locking TBC normal flying behind PF long ago.

On launch day it will be apparent to many returning players that 1 step forward and three steps back mantra of BlizZard where they took easy wins of toggling between the two and also gating TBC normal flying.

At that point BlizZard is looking at two big losses on their side of the fence which could have been easily avoided.

Cowboy/Cowgirl up because it is going to be a bumpy ride.

I won’t be playing TWW, but I’m sure I’ll hear all about it from everyone else live beta testing TWW Season 1.

Yup I will be doing the same because based on what I have tested in beta it is a Wendy’s dumpsterfire on steroids.

Short beta, short release date and the worst of all is that they are far from done. Bugs, bad profession design, and some classes are not done at all (eg Demon Hunters, Shamans, Rogues, etc).

Being patient is worth its weight gold when a bad deal is presented in front of you.

Ion and Co using manipulation tactics to make things look better. Not everyone liked dynamic flying, so make it the only choice initially, and then when everyone uses it, they will say it’s so popular, everyone is using it, well of course they are, you didn’t give them a choice. Bet they thought Pathfinder was popular because everyone did it. Ion and Co are one of the worst things to happen to this game.

They probably saw the data at the end of DF expansion where people were using both DR and TBC normal flying and went full on conniption. So that is where the 5 second toggle switch was born.

God Forbid I want to explore the new zones ( Not playing beta or watching any new videos) with my steady mount first. :face_in_clouds:

Well, boys and girls, at this point they are more than likely not going to remove pathfinder for TWW. So you might as well get your mind made up to doing it if you want steady flight unlocked in TWW. Because that is just how it is going to be.

More than likely you will see it removed down the road like in the xpac after TWW or the one after that. So keep your eyes set on them for all your dreams to come true.

I know I start to knock it out Aug 22rd and probably by Aug 23 will have unlocked it and be done with it for the rest of the xpac.

So its a 100% better that now the players base just zoom zoom on by all the hard work using Dragon flying right? NO…those of us that use and want Steady Flight spend more time taking in all the work done by the Art teams…we enjoy while rest are just zooming by to their next fix…

I know right? I mean what is game breaking using TBC normal flying since everyon else is calling it old or steady flying.

Since when is something steady:

Game breaking, unbalanced, exploitable, or out of the ordinary of average or above the mensa line?

Calling it steady flying but in the same breath locking behind a PF wall indicates a bad faith action and pettiness.

Like I said they had a conniption when BlizZard saw that players were having fun using both at the tail end of DF expansion.
