Lock Threads after inactivity

Just wanted to chime in and say I literally have no idea where you got this from?

Like having a 2 month or what ever cut off date after the convo goes dead isn’t exactly a way for people to eliminate povs it just cuts off trolling / necroing in the future

Blizz has abandoned the GD tbh. Someone will need to create a big drama on twitter to get things done.

Would be nice. Seeing a thread pop up that was made over a year ago while funny at times, is also annoying.

either that, or put a cooldown on how often you can switch out between forum avatars.

Especially since the person who does the necro almost always gets flagged and the comment is removed, so the follow up comment after that always ends up as the default new assumed necro

I’ve seen people be like the next comment after the necro become the new default comment after the comment that necrod the thread gets removed get the blame for being the necro lol

I will be seeing this post in 365 days.

they already do this in some forums like the classic forums.

I would say go a few steps further to combat the current problems:

  1. wall off classic and retail GD from each other. Only retail toons are allowed in retail GD, and only classic toons are allowed in classic GD
  2. raise the minimum level to post in GD to the previous expansion’s cap (so 60 for retail, 70 for LK, 50 for classic era)

Hello…

…well this is awkward :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You do that and people will point out that Blizzard doesn’t value feedback.

Basically confirming WoW isn’t for new players.

These would only apply to GD, you’d still be able to do anything for CS, CC, class forums, recruitment, off-topic, guides, or gameplay.

ye antis are like that, they even have a discord n everythin

this so much

What are you talking about lol

Good idea… I get yelled at too much for this.
Situation: Consider for a moment if you will? " you are desperately searching for an answer on a problem you are experiencing… you get many ‘comments’ in your search return. OMG a comment matches your situations and you comment… (innocently not looking at the DATE! OMG the Date! because you are involved in your issue… ) but you don’t realize what a NECRO scumbag you have become … the shame the horridness and unforgivable behavior you have just committed … forever in your ‘Social Credit’! ‘Necro’ … this is such a creepy sick term IMO.
Seriously what has this world come to?

Yeah I mean even if they close them from replies if they’ve been dead for an extended amount of time one can always still look through the thread / comments if it was really a looking for help situation like you said
