Just my humble opinion w the talk of battle tags or other ideas for forum quality of life changes but seems like it may be pertinent to point out the EU forums have the function & it would stop the weird years old necroing of threads that happens
I think that would be nice. To me, an even shorter period (like one week) also seems appropriate. Sometimes, someone responds to me about some thought I had a month ago, and their post seems so random because I forgot the thread even existed.
In the meantime, we might as well make the best of it and keep bumping
Btag posting and locking threads after 2 months inactivity would clean this forum up so much. I have no idea why Blizzard refuses to do it when their other forums like Diablo and Overwatch work this way.
I remember when people said don’t let level 1 characters post on the forum - they said not letting them would fix the trolling problem - now people think the next thing would ‘fix’ the forum. That addon didn’t ‘fix’ the trolling and it did as much or more than bnet tag.
As long as blizzard won’t moderate this forum consistently, nothing will ever ‘fix’ it to your satisfaction.
They also said not letting sub 50 level players use the premade group finder would eliminate carry spam. It never made any difference, even in the short term. I just assume that the real purpose was to force new players to solo elite quests, or to keep them from making friends while leveling who might be a bad influence on them.
What I mean is, what you want is elimination of points of view that disagree with yours.
Kind of seems like they’ve fixed that. It was only a few posters that were involved, and they’re not posting anymore.
That will definitely stop inconvenient discussions of topics you are uncomfortable with.
