Which one is the better DoT class for BGs?

Doesn’t bother me.
Affliction is doing crazy rot damage atm with agony. That one ability will do millions in a game. You also have dispel protection with unstable affliction and utility with warlock gate, healthstones, and your shadow rift teleport.

locks are pretty fun and annoying in bgs.
Won’t matter if you’re playing a new character. You’ll be deleted by rated players in a couple of seconds.
Right now it’s fine, but if you are not a full time wow player who can afford double legendary, farming and hours of PvP just to get basic gear, you are already done.
Lock tho.

Afflic with okay-ish to good gear is fairly durable.

Lock no contest. Esp if u learn the class. U can get 100k hp and demon and just stand there in random bgs killing everyone. And they can’t do anything to u.

SP has an execute, so you can snipe a lot of KB’s. Too much utility for me to type it all right now. Mass dispel, life swap (flag carriers), life grip (again flag carriers), a significant aoe/hots heal, you can reduce enemy healing by 50%.
There’s more, but I’m at work and can’t think of it all right now. So much utility. As an aff, you’re pretty much stationary while spreading dots, or kiting the train gang
To be fair a lock is providing passive utility u don’t sacrifice damage for. Stones gate and most annoying slow alive. As well as dispel protection which allows for ccs to last longer if the enemy team isn’t dispelling. Spriest can compete in damage fairly well if it goes a specific build but it doesn’t compare to a lock.
I think any spec of lock will out dps a SP in almost any expansion, but having played both aff and sp, I feel like with sp, you can get a lot more creative in bgs. If you want to spread dots and void form great, but if you want to move around and make plays happen, you can do that too. I never felt the same versatility with any lock spec
With 2 piece and soon 4 piece u actually match lock well. But as I said u basically have to build for it which makes u kuch squishier than most are use 2.
