Fully agreed. It is by far the worst mechanic in the game. I have camped these portals for the last 4 days, 8 hours each today. Literally 32 hours in front of portals with nothing to show for it. This is terrible design.

Im not familiar either: are you saying, theres a chance event at the Rifts and a reward is a bis caster dagger?

1.) You can get the dagger from Feralas, Azshara, or Blasted Lands. I got mine from Feralas
2.) Killing mobs reduces total time imp is exploring by like 20s-ish per kill. I was averaging about 10-11min per portal.
3.) Find or start a raid group of warlocks, kill all the competition if you are on PVP server, and scout portals. When one is found, start a pull 10 and everyone sends in at once.
Yes. There’s an epic dagger you can get from the portals. It’s BIS for Fire Locks
My warlock has gizmoblade. Miss me with that minor upgrade nonsense.

It’s not even that… Just make the chance be better than getting both TF bindings in the same run!
It’s only been a little over a week. There is still plenty of time to get BiS before the phase is over.
It’s not about the time, It’s the mechanic itself. The explorer imp is garbage game design.

Imagine if the only place to get your mainhand upgrade was a 0.1% chance to drop off of a Truesilver node. That’s literally what we have to do.
The Gizmoblade is on par with this and probably easier to get at this point.

I already gave up on it. I hit 50 in 12 hours, than camped portals for three days straight. Delved and closed with scrolls over 100 portals and nothing. Worst drop rate I have seen and I am not gonna waste more time trying for it.
And those truesilver nodes give you silverleaf
I get the Buff on my Alts all the time so someone must be running it. Start a group and you can bang it out in half an hour twice a week.
Ultra rare items requiring hundreds of wasted hours added to short experimental servers is so weird to me

That’s why I don’t waste time farming them. If I’m in a zone with Portals I always look for one to send my Imp but I don’t go out of my way.
