id rather send a imp once in a while than farm princess one thousand times to see the dagger once and maybe win the roll.
I’m fine with grinding portals but the 20min wait time is just disrespectful

The worst part to me is the horrible spawn rate of the portals, I could stand to wait 20 minutes for the bastard to return with some items but actively searching sometimes hours for them is just unbearable to me.
And then you crest the hill and see the rift slowly despawn as you approach
When I was bothering with this non sense on a “bad” day I didn’t even see a rift when I crested the hill. Also didn’t bother trying to get the dagger. Got the 4 fragments and set up a guild/ally guild raid for people to get their runes. /done

On portal 196 and no dagger. That doesn’t sound like many but the time it takes from portal to portal can be upwards of 15-25 minutes.
Run demonic sacrifice. Use it on imp every 10 seconds, will lower the time down by 30 seconds each time you use it. Alternatively, you can kill mobs for the same effect.
I run demonic sac for this farm specifically. I have my normal tank build and this. I’m at portal #326 and I know I’m not even at the high end of some of the other warlocks I’ve run portal groups with. It’s just bad design and a soul crushing farm. The least they could’ve done is add some bad luck protection of some sort.
I gave up on my lock. I was hoping for the affliction trinket more so than the dagger, but tapped out with neither after ~200 portals.
Truly one of if not the worst gameplay loops.
Quick update, still farming, on portal 504 and still nothing. Meanwhile, someone I know got it on portal 52. This is an outrageous grind.
Your consumes are not 150g a lockout, I spend like 2-5g per week for raid.
The drop rate really needs to be addressed. The current rate is so low there is a high chance you can do it for the rest of season of discovery and never find it.
You know you don’t need that dagger to play as a destru warlock right?
