This has happened to me twice in the past 2 days. I’ll wait in queue for the 8+ hours or whatever it is on Benediction at the time, finally get to the character screen, click Enter World, the loading screen loads all the way 100%, and then is stuck. I can hear I am actually in the game though. Music is playing, characters are mounting, boats are leaving and returning to the port, etc. The only way I’ve found to fix this is to just wait 30 minutes or whatever the afk timer is to boot me back to the log in screen (praying for not a total disconnect) and entering the world again. What’s the problem Blizz? My hand is itching to unsubscribe at this point and go play Halo until MW2 comes out.
Please, by all means 
If the music is playing you are in the world as such safe to force end the game and reconnect you have 5 min grace from dc tk get back in. I do it all the time to update addons.
To be exact since seen the char screen your fully connected to the world and have your spot as such subject to the grace period
