Hello, my question is in regards to class balance and competitive arena game-play. Currently I feel like specs that are easier to play are rewarded more than those who would have to work much harder to achieve the same goal. For example Assassination Rogue compared to Outlaw or Subtlety. If I was to push for rating I would have a much easier time playing Assassination. I can maintain constant pressure with burst windows that outperform the other specs. Do you think Outlaw and Subtlety should be able to outperform the easier to play spec. provided the person playing is not making mistakes. To me it feels like the other specs have been removed from competitive arena and I have no choice but to play assassination.
Do you mean the entirely new rework to Demonology or are you referring to the entirely new spell effects for Destro warlock? Maybe you mean all of the new Affliction dot application spell effects that were all added in BFA.
As an active arena PvPer I have loved watching the AWC streams. I have always enjoyed Arena, but there are a lot of popular topics that have not received any blue feedback (PvP vendors, PvP gearing, 3v3 slow meta, class balance, etc). Could you touch on these topics?
Are any class changes coming in BFA? I would very much like to not spend 3 shards casting rain of fire as a warlock, I feel that 2 shards would be suitable for such a spell.
Are there any plans to remove trading restrictions on loot drops? It would really help mitigate the frustration of master loot removal if we could actually just trade anything that drops if we want to. Quite possibly the worst feeling this expansion is looting something you don’t want but can’t trade because of the item level restriction.
There are many possible changes that could be made to character customization, and indeed already have been (golden eyes, straight back orcs). To be completely honest, these changes seem to happen kind of randomly and without relation to each other – Is there anything the Dev team can say about upcoming customization changes, or perhaps what parts of character customization the team wants to focus on? (more hair/facial hair, or perhaps more drastic cosmetic options like elven undead)
Talking about the actual character model animations. Idles, casting, etc. etc.
That’s…kinda why I said “Animations”, not “Spell Effects”.
It is now widely known and accepted that Marksmanship Hunter is a non-viable arena spec in a very odd place. It can have very high burst at times, but it’s non-damage utility kit (defensives, mobility, CC) does not support it’s overall damage mechanics well enough to make it work. It is not being used to any statistically relevant degree on the ladder, and it’s one appearance in the tournament showcased very well how much of a joke the spec is.
My question(s):
- Do you now agree with our feedback on the spec?
- What plans do you have going forward for the non-damage kit?
- Outside of this particular spec, the arena meta in general is not popular in the community, with a handful of specs still feeling very powerful in comparison to the rest. What plans do you have to get us closer to a stable and fun meta?
Thanks,
Bert
Allied races have some awesome new hairstyles that their “base” doesn’t have, and vice versa. Will we ever see any sharing of these styles, or any new hairstyles for older races? The last time the barbershop got new hairstyles was nearly 8 years ago.
it has been said by the devs a while ago that something similar to mage towers will eventually make it to bfa but no one has ever said much since. I assume towards the nazjatar patch considering it may seem like the bfa equivalent of broken shore.
I just want to be able to hide my gloves, because there are some gorgeous wrist mogs that I’d use if I could ever see them. I understand not letting players hide chest or leg pieces because…yeah…I see enough bank toons in their undies and I don’t need more. But the other pieces should all have be hideable.
When will vengeance demon hunter and guardian Druid get the attention they deserve?
Not a single change has been made to vengeance and it remains the worst mythic raid tank and worst mythic plus tank
Have you thought about adding titan residuum as a reward off of bosses in your raids? The Azerite gear within the raid do not provide the best stats and some raiders do not have the time or do not want to run M+ yet would like to have the ability to get their BIS AZ gear. (for example, on one of my mains, one piece drops off Ivus, one is a WQ emissary reward (which, if it drops, would most likely end up being 385), and one is off SOS dungeon, which again would be rare to drop as a 400+.
Do the devs feel good about current class design? If not, what changes can we look forward to in the future?
Any news on when some more realms will be connected? I have characters on Aman’thul, NA, Oceanic region and it really needs an influx of players to help guilds struggling to fill their rosters, realm economy and more.
So… I have to ask. Since I haven’t seen it yet in game. Where is the Bee mount?
Any update on GCD changes? there’s a reason people don’t like doing boring things to upgrade their character, and that is because the vehicle we use to get there (our classes) feel horrible to do most trivial tasks. In other expansions our classes were fun so it did not feel like so much work. On a BM hunter or guardian druid/holy/prot pally the GCD is the most annoying thing ever to have any type of reaction time. I have rerolled all of these classes due to how clunky they feel. The changes I read about certain abilities after activation still dont fix the clunk factor or the fact that it is still too late to respond to situations in time. I get we should be planning our damage intake beforehand, but when mistakes happen, it shouldnt take 2 full seconds for avenging wrath/beacon of virtue before you can even make a dent in a groups health in M+. Would it hurt so much to just have a definsive GCD and an offensive GCD? that way at least the first cast of an ability would only trigger another incoming defensive or offensive.
Will you ever reconsider rated solo queue? Or PVP vendors? The community has been asking for these two for a very very long time and I have a lot of friends willing to come back to wow. Thanks.
Are you planning on adding anything to guilds? It’s quite depressing being a Guild Master and there’s almost no incentives to be in a Guild, as well as, nothing really to do. It’s the same rehash every patch.
When will we get more events that guilds can do together?
Guardian and Vengeance are the least represented tanks in Raiding. For Vengeance it is due to raid utility and spikiness, for Guardians they take too much damage. Why have they not received buffs?
TDLR; There is no reason to take Guardian or Vengeance to your raid, and doing so handicaps your team.
