We do have live chat available to a limited degree. Even when open it may temporarily shut down if the queue gets full so as not to have folks waiting endlessly. Once those clear out, live chat will usually reopen if it is still available.

Did you have a particular issue that we can direct you on, Arlark? I’m not aware of any issue that can’t otherwise be handled through a ticket.

Merry meet , is there a way to talk with someone ? A ticket was opened yesterday on an account that hadn’t been used in a while and was told it had been compromised. A few people were helping with issue , was sent a couple of emails to start a new account with a new email address , that was done , tried to log on and it is saying the brand new account is banned . All tickets have disappeared and I cannot place a new ticket . This has been well over 24 hours and getting very frustrating. Please help :pensive:

i also tried contacting live support about some payment issue but its not available. all im getting is the web ticket support and well that takes too long when i have a payment issue tbh

Received another email saying that i needed to reset password again and security questions, Still says account banned when I followed link to do that

Unfortunately with the pandemic, the fact of the matter is that the live chat option is only open for a small window of time and only for certain issues, and tickets are the primary method of handling things right now with most staff working from home. It’s obviously taking a bit longer than normal due to everything being crazy with the pre-patch event and looming Shadowlands drop - which admittedly isn’t a product of your making, it’s just trying to explain why the wheels may be moving a bit slower than normal.

problem is they had a ban wave going out yesterday and they are probably dealing with that atm. but that doesnt take away that other people have other issues atm too

That is an issue too, and most people believe if they can ā€˜talk to a live person’ all of their problems will be fixed with a snap of the fingers. It doesn’t work like that, sadly.

I do hope Vrak will get you fixed up there, Dark! And hopefully your issue will be situated as well, Kinsarah. From what I see, they do try to respond quicker to replies so please have some patience and things will get sorted out.

Had to switch toons. I have patience and know snapping my fingers will not produce results . That would be silly … talking to someone makes it easier to convey a message back and forth while you are working together to fix an issue instead of waiting hours in between .

I was speaking generally and if my tone was snippish it wasn’t my intention. Perhaps an unfair generalization but with what is seen on the regular, I don’t believe it to be too far off. No matter, it unfortunately is the truth of the matter that live chat is extremely limited at current. That doesn’t solve things for you and I am sorry for it, but it’s just how it is for the time being.

Thank you and I apologize as well . It is like I said frustrating and I include to all involved. Just makes it harder when you get a link to fix the problem then follow that link and it says your brand new recovered account is banned lol . I have never been banned in my life . Just came on here hoping for an answer to see if it was still possible , like it was years ago , to speak to a person in real time .

I think part of the issue was that you may have used the original email address to create a new Battle.net account, preventing them from simply reverting the original Battle.net to that address. Just for future reference, our site does allow you to submit a compromise ticket without logging in, as long as you can attach an ID.

Is the outlook address the one that you want to use instead? It looks like that was set, and the response indicates that the penalized were lifted. I’m not seeing that else is going on.

I’ll poke around and see what’s up.

Thank you . Yes I was asked to create a whole new email that has never been used for WoW . I did that . Was sent an email with link to set it up this morning I tried following the link but when I attempted to log in it would not allow me with a message saying account banned . I truly appreciate your help and will gladly like to open a ticket again and chat that way but it would not go thru . Will they talk with me about it on my wife’s account ?

You likely hit the cap for tickets. It is to help prevent our systems from being spammed.

I’d hold off on a ticket for right now. Some of these overturns require an escalation before they are lifted, so I want to see if that is the case here. I should know in about 30 minutes or so.
