Live chat unavailable during work hours both US and EU

Hello, I’m having some issues for the past few days and I’m getting no responses on a ticket that can easily be resolved with a live chat.
I was checking the support page and for the past four days it didn’t show the live chat option. Now it’s showing the option but it’s unavailable for both US and EU.
I tried different browsers and devices, both resulting in the Live chat option being greyed out.

If Live chat is not an option anymore due to covid, why even keep it there? Am I missing some announcement that said they are not doing live chat anymore?

Live chat is definitely still a thing… but for reasons yet unknown, it’s very very persnickety about when it shows up, and for which person.

Some things to try:

  • VPN
  • Private/incognito mode
  • 4G/5G mobile data instead of wifi
  • Disabling any and all security software and/or popup blockers

A combination of any of those should get you in.

In addition to Myrandriel’s comment, also be aware that Live Chat is for a very narrow range of topics, such as Billing or Tech Support. Reporting bugs, appealing suspensions, game hints, etc. are not going to be given the option for Live Chat.

Presumably, if they’re seeing the option and it’s just greyed out, they’re at least using a category for which it is an option. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the replies everyone, the option to Live chat became available as soon as I connected to my VPN client like Myrandriel mentioned to do in their reply.

Live chat was able to resolve my issue very quick, as it did fall under the categories live chat is used for.

Yeah, for some reason, a person’s location seems to be a factor–an MVP here mentioned they were able to connect in a major city, well away from where they lived. Not sure if it’s on purpose or not, and it doesn’t seem to be entirely 100% the case for every person having trouble.

But it’s definitely a good thing to try again in the future, should you need to.

How dose one even get to Live chat.?

For sanctions, appeals and account issues of that nature, you don’t. Tickets are the only way to handle them.

Live chat is reserved for billing and technical support only, due to it’s limited nature. Usually for account recovery or payment issues on the CS side. If you don’t see it, either the approach you took didn’t require live chat, or they’re not available.
