Literally 3/4 players want LFD

Combination of factors. CR LFD is Anti-Community for servers. It was a compromise approach to fixing dead servers. If there are dead servers Blizzard should be inclined to force a migration or merge. Now give us Activision Lobbies.

Neither did CR LFD…

TBF they just have the best raiding in mmo’s, they’ve always done well with that.

They also have all the data that youre not privy too. Their decisions are way more informed than the players theories.

Well apparently the millions of people who have quit due to blizzard decisions have less tolerance for errors than i do.

See, here’s the thing, no matter what we talk about it’s all speculation. We don’t know why people left in cata.

Some assume LFD, other’s assume people just didn’t like cata, which honestly, is far more believable.

Considering the fact they haven’t even asked about LFD in years (since like 2019) I question the validity of their data.

Even their own team is split.

keep subs up even in a drought seems to even be better for communities…

No real proof those that RDF had any bad effect on the communities (from what I hear the classic Communities on the full servers are not all that tight and a bit toxic).

like how much we loved borrowed powers?

Not really trusting Blizzards data, even their announcements on twitter on some of their other things didn’t get the results they were hoping for.

I enjoy the “we did not expect this much pushback”

Which is why this whole discussion about sub losses is a waste of time. You can’t prove anything.
It’s just a diversionary tactic by the anti-lfd posters to change the subject from the fact dungeon finder was in wrath, and should thus be in wrath Classic. The topic is no more complicated than that.

Barrens chat was toxic before we started calling things toxic. Saying RDF ruint wow is just a crutch for people who want to argue. Since those same people yammer on and on they’re probably the same people who enjoyed spamming up the barrens back in the day.

Why didn’t people like Cata? Was it the story? Difficulty? Community? Activision features such as LFR? Talent rework? Class rework? Homogenization? I certainly believe it’s a number of reasons that caused the nose dive. LFD just happens to be one of them. It turned servers into cross realm zones eventually and people no longer knew one another. Banter was no longer banter and there were no server stories anymore. The game stopped being a MMO and started becoming a lobby game where you just queued for a game.

ya but fun when they blame sub loses for it that didn’t happen (didn’t get the sub counts right and the quarters it was in right).

You realize how stupid that argument is right? To actually accomplish anything in game you still need to go out to it.

LFR isn’t worth a damn, I don’t care if classic cata keeps it honestly, and nowadays LFD doesn’t mean a damn either.

Agreed 100%

from what I understand BC classic is going away so they might not see the need to make one for LK and just turn the BC ones into it (wonder why, they don’t think enough want BC to stay, wonder why).

Calling it stupid? You can just level from 15 to the max all through dungeon queues. With the cash shop boost you never have to see or go to a zone to do content. Just let the game carry you along. My argument stands that WoW turned into a lobby game. Lobby PvP & PvE for everything.

Cata was crap from day one. They put their foot down and told how we should play, and the subs dropped like a stone. Every single time they force some stupid system on us they always take it back.

Except the automated dungeon finder… funny how that stuck around?

TIL Leveling is the only content, or even the most important content in this game.

This game has always been end game focused.
