It is actually quite serious. The situation is more about world governments being able to handle pandemics and humans not going nuts over the whole thing rather than being calm and sensible.
Granted this virus is very contagious and it takes about a week to show symptoms and you could infect others during that time. It is not to be taken lightly or freak out over. Just be smart. When something worse comes along in the near future I fear we may be screwed based on what is happening right now.
edit: I have lost faith in the U.S. watching people fight over toilet paper to be honest.
double edit: I will not mention the really horrible things that people have been doing and saying…I think most are aware.

Of course it’s going to be okay. I think there’s more to this, also. I think we may be coming to an economic reset, amoung other things.

Maybe an opportunity to examine our society as well as the condition of humanity itself and know we have to make major changes and soon otherwise well…nothing good is going to happen in the future.

i live a camping kinda lifestyle and in isolation so current events don’t concern me too much
Well considering Rome is like the U.S. in a lot of ways…it is probably going to burn. I would rather go back to Babylon.
We live in a good civilisation now. Really, we do. It’s changed so much, so fast and even though there are a lot of problems, we’ve always had those.
Things are so much better today than they were 50 years ago, even 10 years ago.
And a whole lot better than way back in the day.
We’re not just going to be okay, if you watch and pay attention, you could be doing great.

Lets not make light of this. There’s an extremely high likelihood that the vast majority of people who play this game will either know someone who doesn’t survive this pandemic or…some of themselves don’t survive it. As sad as it is, you can’t stick your head in the sand on this one. It’s got a kill rate of 3-10% depending on age, co-morbidities, occupation etc.
I know at least 2 doctors that have quit their jobs and have stockpiled and are now just barricading themselves in home.

I give our species another 500 years maybe. If we do not destroy ourselves first. Otherwise nature is going to do it and some may live but will be different than humans now.
And stop buying up all of the paper products you can find.
You can’t crap your way out of it.
You should have grabbed yourself some Primatene Mist, some oranges and some tequila.

Don’t worry, i long lost faith in the U.S before all of this has happened. 
If their ever a time when a meteorite is about to hit earth and wipe us all out, guaranteed somebody will be pointing fingers at somebody, blaming them for the meteorite for whatever reason it may be, real or outlandish. And while i’m being hyperbolic for it’s own sake, don’t be surprised when it actually does happen.
