Oh thank goodness. I used to think I’m the only one doesn’t like mage hero talents. Felt a bit on the nose.
How about “Evocation”? “Sorcerer”? “Magician”? “Battlemage”? “Arcanist”?
ehh the 4 horseman or maybe a throwback to warcraft 2 Death Knights that were on steeds.

Yeah exactly. Stationary, limited, and lackluster buffs don’t sound appeasing to anyone. If anything, this tree should be fore Elem and Resto due to their stationary nature. We all know it won’t happen though and maybe they can get some insight to how people actually feel about them and why they’ve moved away from having them in the past.
Tidesage might be better for Shaman inbetween Resto and Elemental… trading off lighting for just violent water.
Right now Enhance is split between doomwinds/phyiscal damge trees or Elemental, flametounge/ice strike
if they could make the elemental side more like DW focused but the resto side more “Earth Warder” physical dmg with a big 2 hand that would be so cool. big meaty whirlwind hits will always be one of the top 10 things in WoW history.
They should add Tinker to something so I never have to read a tinker thread again
Chronowarden sounds like exactly what I wanted for my Evoker, but I was hoping to see a bit more support for blue magic since only Dev uses it to any significant degree, and it’s about half of the class’s focus. Maybe Scalecommander will have some options, but if it has to focus on what’s common to Dev+Aug, that’s really only the black and red spells, and red is already getting Ruby Adept.
Dunno, will need some more information. I like where this is all going, but I really want to see some more mage-y Evoker flavour.
Highlord for Paladin would be nice. And Blademaster for Warrior.
I’m partial to the name of Hero Classes from WC3, which means I’d want to see Archmage and Blood Mage (Arcane and Fire respectively). Not sure what they’d call frost. Conjuror maybe.
They do feel really uninspired, yeah. At the very least Spellslinger should be “Archmage”, assuming it’s just…arcane squared, anyway. But I would have been a bit more excited if we saw something like “Conjurer”, “Enchanter”, “Illusionist”, etc.
I felt Elune’s Chosen is a bit…I mean, does other races than Night Elves kowtow to Elune?

Aside from the fact that its only enhance/resto that is guaranteed to regularly use totems. Combined with each name is for 2 specs. Ele doesnt get to pick all the specs. Neither does Resto/Enhance.
There is no reason to think the “totemic” heroic talents will be full of stationary, limited, lackluster buffs that only works with stationary specs.
I quite like the idea of being able to summon Malthael as a warlock.
since it is inbetween Destro and Demo… I think it is just going to be summoning infernals till you get to summon a big infernal.
People need to also realize that these names? They dont change your class or spec name. They are just a way to organize what talents choices you are picking.
Its not going to change your playstyle. You arent changing from a dps to a support.
Folks act like anything will change. 99.9% sure they won’t.
Yet since I do these and know the class lore on them best, I’ll suggest the following:
Paladin
Rogue
Priest
Shaman
Warlock
While true, that does not mean that things like healing providing a shield or extra armor or damaging an opponent provides leach or something for those attacking are not in the cards for some of these. I don’t think anyone will be full blown support, but some might be “support” as in they have the side effect of buffing/debuffing via their normal rotations.
I’d bet alot of these are placeholders.
Based on what we have seen so far, why do you think anything about these hero talents is going to tap into unused lore or change anything? It will be mostly passive buffs to abilities we already have.
Each hero talent is for 2 specs. There cant be a pure healing talent one.
the talent trees are between the specs.
So a fury warrior can choose Mountain Thane or Slayer
arms warrior can choose Slayer or colossus.
they arent “super specs”… you playing a marksman hunter doesnt mean every other MM hunter will pick Dark Ranger.
its safe to assume Dark Ranger will be between Marksman and Beast Master.
Sent will be between Surival and MM while pack leader will be between BM and Surv.
So a Survival Hunter can pick Sentinel or Pack leader but not Dark Ranger.
