Is there a list that shows required addons for pvp and M+?
I always see everyone have like 30+ addons running in streams.

You would have to ask them.
The only “official” list of addons are the ones included with the game. Everything else is extra (hence the name “Addon”), with the only requirement necessary for “approval” being that they don’t charge for them, don’t solicit donations (some run very close to that line), don’t contain advertisements, don’t obfuscate their code, don’t negatively impact the game for you or others, and generally abide by the rules of the game itself.

Someone on the UI and Macros gameplay forum may be able to give you an indication of common addons, or help you identify ones used by particular streamers, but there’s no hard-and-fast list.
That seems wrong… The game is built around add ons like DBM and Weak Auras… Just need to know the technical limits of those add ons or a list of Blizzard endorsed ones like DBM.
There are no required Addons from Blizzard. Those are usually dictated by groups or guilds that participate in High End content, but in E-Sports Blizzard disables all Addons, so nothing is required.
Allowed mods are written in Lua code, and load in Blizzard sandbox only. No EXE should be used to run them separately. If a addon should go outside of @devs intentions, they are usually broken at the LUA code level.
So all the Curseforge add ons are ok?
That is just a addon manager, it does not load Addons externally and can be closed when done managing.
But all the addons I download are good, like none of them will get me banned
IS Boxer, software that runs separately from WoW, which was used to help Multiboxers transmit commands. That is now not allowed.
Anything else in a Addon in your interface folder, that only load under the wow client, should be ok. If Devs don’t like it, they disable it.
OK just checking. Im saving this convo just to be safe.

You’re not getting a blanket “ok” to use any addon from CurseForge. You’re getting a “they should be ok, but sometimes developers will disable the ability of the code to work.” Plus, neither of us work for Blizzard. Their staff won’t tell you any app or addon is totally ok to use alongside WoW because if it updates/changes later, it might not continue to be ok.
