Lionheart Executioner?

Just wondering how many of you have made this blade, or in the process of making it ( meaning you have your Lionheart blade or Lionheart Champion) and that you’re happy with it, or disappointed. I really liked it in original TBC and my paladin in classic was thinking of making it again or try for Stormherald.

I think the general consensus is that you go Lionheart for PvE and Stormherald for PvP.

Apparently, the Stormherald proc rate isn’t that impressive on paper, but it does trigger often enough to necessitate an occasional NERF! post in General Discussion.

I banked my old Lionheart and Quel’Serrar, now lost to to time. Rest peacefully old friend, parked forever by the Ironforge forge. (December 6th, 2004 - WoD)

It’s like 1% or 2%… Warriors with mace spec have a stun as well. Seal of Justice procs a stun, too.

The proc is purge-able which kind of sucks

I had no honour; as soon as I was done with mine, I vendored it for a few gold, if I remember correctly :frowning:

I still use it as it’s still decent until torch drops.

For warriors, it was the best item in the first two phases for PVE until Twinblade off of Kael’Thas in Tempest Keep. If you do not have access to raiding content it is absolutely worth crafting. (Also it looks awesome.)

The only significant upgrades in the game currently are the 2H in Zul’Aman, the sword off Archimonde in Mount Hyjal (Cataclysm’s Edge,) or the mace off Reliquary of the lost in Black Temple (Torch of the Damned).

The mace out of Black temple is considered BiS for retribution spec Paladins this phase. I am not sure if the 2H sword out of Sunwell would be considered an upgrade from that for you next phase.

I was one of the first ones I think on my server that was using one in the early phase 2. Got 1st prio on Vortex from guild. Was not till recently that I upgraded to the Twinblade… Many Archimond kills and no Sword yet… So yes it’s still worth it!

I’ve raided with my mage during vanilla and WotLK, but this pally is a non raiding paladin so I can only hope the nether vortices will go BoE as they did in the original TBC.

There are now and you can buy them for badges

The vortexes are already BoE! You can buy them with badges from doing heroics too!
