- Re fear -> Bolt -> Bolt
Because of 3rd bolt cast finishing before 2nd bolt breaking 2nd fear. R1 frostbolt chaos pies are great.

what if dots broke fear almost instantly like every other cc in the game
what if chaos bolt dealt damage during its travel time as like a pseudo DoT.
So the longer away the warlock is the more managable the burst is.

The thing, same as Gpies, even if you have that opportunity to line, or meld, vanish… it still goes off, has more to do with MS but still.
I’ve had them still go off at say 85% or more, because they still have me targeted, even with a vanish, or Los unless they cancel.
I’ve been life gripped before full cast behind a pillar and still went off right through the pillar

What if they put chaos bolt on a 5 second cd or something? Or they could make fear and conflag root break a lot easier to damage.
Crazy thought but what if Gpyro and chaos bolt just hit instantly and didn’t have a “hang/travel time” besides the animation. Part of the reason why Gpyro is so broken in the first place isn’t the damage it does, but how much damage you can backload into a single/double pyro landing during the other burst.
Same thing for chaos bolt in the sense that it isn’t breaking CC until the 2nd one is already done casting, wouldn’t be an issue if the damage was dealt right away and it broke their CC more often.

I’m sober now and I"d like to say scrap destruction warlocks and delete gpyro.
But, yeah. Actually. I’d like to go back to them being normal-speed abilities that weren’t so easy to as you say backload damage into. Chaos bolt is less of an offender now in that sense than it was when it had that awful arcing wobbly noodle animation.

So you wasted Cloak, Sprint, Vanish, Trinket, Step, Bomb, Feint, and Vial before DS+Infernals then got swapped to and died, which still took 6+ seconds, and you want me to believe that locks are the problem here?
Just a heads up, ppl dont like other ppl defending locks around here.

There is a fine line between defending locks and defending them based on a specific circumstance like someone missplaying. Generally people dont want to here people defending locks under either circumstance, which isnt very healthy but its the forums so…
Someone could missplay against a destro, whine, and the player base will all come in to defend the guy that missplayed and make out as if the destro is still the bad guy for being too op is what im getting at.
