The old HUD UI was so dated and the new HUD UI is a MAJOR UPGRADE over the old one. If you want the old version go play your classic as modern or retail World of Warcraft moves forward in time and getting with the time.

Sure, and those players who wanted the (awful) new UI should absolutely have been able to get the (awful) new UI, but the rest of us should have been able to stick with the (somewhat less awful) old UI.

Idc what they did I just my same old ui addon’s .it’s a shame they didn’t hire a ui addon maker would of made a better ui than blizz did.

That’s a less awful layout, but it still won’t replace the ugly textures they dumped on everything. Sadly I think I’ll have to lump it until the ClassicUI addon folks work their magic.

I wanted something that looks like a Far Cry Blood Dragon hud so I’m pretty upset naturally.
Hopefully I can customize this thing to have Alexstrasza holding my action bars for me, and maybe make the minimap look like the back of a dragon. Oh maybe Deathwing!

If other people like it, that’s fine, personally I don’t like it either. I hate that I can’t adjust the map size. I hate the action bars. I’m far-sighted and can barely see the clock even with my glasses. I don’t wanna expand the ui so big it covers 1/3rd of my screen. Okay. I kinda do like the new bags, though.
They should do like reddit and let you use the old layout as a choice. So if people like the new they could keep it, and those of us that like the old can revert.

That’s real talk right there, hoss. When you put a new user interface in a game, you should 1) give detailed instructions in game on how to use it, 2) Give an option to use the old UI so that people can play comfortably while they learn how to use the new UI.
It is the USER INTERFACE, which is literally how people interact with the game. I’ve spent 2 days monkeying around with it and I still can’t figure out how to save it so I don’t have to reset it every time I log back in. ActiBlizz really humped the proverbial canine on this one.

Oh so you’re one of those type of people that want World of Warcraft to stay in the past and stay as is and not revamp anything and everything must remain as is. Let me tell you something this game needs to progress forward in time and I highly support this new HUD UI and I am glad that they completely removed the old one and by the way the old one won’t even work anymore due to new coding.
It’s intuitive enough to not need detailed instructions. In fact that’s ideal. You think most WoW players are going to cope with that?
I’m not sure how you’re running into problems. It prompts you to save it whenever you exit the edit mode.

Hello, I see you posted a thread about UI. I unsubbed! I’m going to dedicate more time to the greatest, largest, best MMO on the planet, Final Fantasy 14, where next gen features such as moving and resizing the minimap come standard, haha!

No, it isn’t. If it were, I wouldn’t have to reset it every time in log back in. Yes, I am saving it, saving it character specific and spelling the names correctly. It’s not working, I STILL have to reset it the way I want it every time I log back in. So, not so intuitive after all. I’ve been working on it for 2 days, nothing works, it resets every time I log off. Yeah, it looks nice, but if I have to reset it every time I log back in, it’s just more hot garbage.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I am following the instruction in the Youtube video to the letter. Detailed in game instructions are needed.

What I am saying is facts the old HUD UI needed to be removed and be replaced with a more modern and sleeker and a more detailed design UI than say the old version that has been in the game for the longest time and it was way out of date for modern standards.
Won’t happen, all old art assets and interface code is still copyrighted.
