I have killed over 200+ Burning blade enemies and still no drop. The drop rate is supposed to be 5-10% according to wowhead. That’s obviously wrong. Is the quest glitched? I have been grinding it for an amazingly long time. I feel like I should have gotten a pet by now with this drop rate. Hey blue ppl, check your drop rate. Let me know what the drop rate is. Or you know just ignore this post. I wonder which one they will do…

It’s not obviously anything based on a sample size of 1.
But, from my personal experience 5-10% seems a lot higher than I would have expected. I tend to avoid this quest, though I did have it drop on my first or second mob once.
They don’t have to check their drop rate wow head has to check theirs. It’s wowhead that is based on the game not vice versa.
Also calling for a blue in a post goes adverse to fourm rules ya they are not likly to post in a post that’s breaking the rules least not with a answer.
Yep! Their data is literally user-uploaded via the Wowhead Client.
Bet it’s been sitting in your bag for a long time and you just didn’t realize it.

IME I’d say around 5% or so. It’s definitely a grindier quest, but shouldn’t be 200. It’s also theoretically possible to just be that unlucky. It’d be shockingly bad luck, but it’s not a crazy.
If you dropped it off at the bank by accident it could be there as well. I remember doing that all the way in the OG days where I had half the scarab shells from ZF sitting in my bank so no more would drop.

Ensure you have the quest in your quest log, aren’t in a raid, and didn’t already loot it/leave it in your bank.
The Hidden Enemies chain does offer a nice chunk of XP but if you’re already lv 20+, Wailing Caverns and/or SFK would be better.
