I see several bug reports, and multiple discussions on this broken quest. Since it is a quest that you literally HAVE to complete in order to progress in the dragonflight quest chains, why is no one from Blizzard support replying to the bug reports, why is it like pulling teeth to get a response.
Support does not reply to bug reports, but also replies from QA are not guaranteed either. I understand wanting to get traction on a bug, but they will respond only if more information is required. Otherwise if it is on the bug report forum, it will hopefully be tracked.
Have you tried following the directions in this comment on WoWhead?
Primarily because Customer Support has no jurisdiction or involvement over Bugs, that isn’t our area. In rare instances where the QA team may need more information they have posted, but it generally pretty infrequent.
The Bug Report forums, and the bug report system in-game is a one way reporting system for bugs. Not a method of communication. The forums is often more useful because it allows users to provide more information, but I am sorry, it isn’t there as a contact point for QA to receive updates or acknowledgements.
Been playing this game for almost 20 years, off and on. Never once had a blue reply. I remember once in the early years submitting a help request through the ingame system, and recieved an in game reply. Player base was smaller then, so I guess it was easier to respond to things. I do appreciate you letting us know that there usually isnt an “official” hey we are looking into this response.
I will keep that in mind next time I post. Thank you for your response.
We absolutely get the frustration. During expansion launches and big patches, we often maintain a common issues page. It doesn’t cover every possible issue, but it usually covers the ones that we have been seeing a lot of.
It’s usually at the top of the support page. This is the current one:
Glad you were able to get the missing book!
