I always wonder, most countries, according to google, switches seasons around the solstice or equinox, but here in Australia, we do it on the first of every 3 months. I wonder why we do things differently?

Is it because we’re the ones who declared a war against emus in the past to lose to emus?

I think ours has to do with farming in some capacity as to why it’s done with the solstice.
