LGBTQ+ Megathread & Lounge (Part 3)

I’ve gone no contact with aunts and uncles who aren’t related only by marriage too. When they are abusive pieces of garbage they don’t deserve space in your life!

I’m no-contact with my maternal grandmother. She crossed some serious lines involving both me and my sister.

My mom wasn’t talking to my maternal grandma when grandma died. None of us were. She was left to babysit us and my youngest sibling asked for dinner around 8 pm (way later than we usually had dinner) and grandma called my sibling names. My older sister kicked her out. None of us had spoken to her since.

One of my milder food allergies is fresh pineapple, but I can mostly tolerate cooked one generally: have to be cooked well,…same with tomato and egg-whites though egg whites have to be baked long and not just like boiled or fried…otherwise it’s a good chance of breaking out in hives…I’m always cautious with non-baked goods with those, and I trust myself with cooking them but not always others, especially less-caring restaurants. Like…I really love pineapple, but the most I will tempt fate with it is with a Hawaiin-style pizza but only made myself (and I used canned pineapple rings, cut them, microwave them, then grill or fry them, and then bake them on the pizza (mostly it’s not a problem at that point). I don’t trust any pizza place to for it, and I’d like to have a pineapple upside down cake again, but haven’t since I was a young kid… Anyways, I have a set of epipens that I could use if I felt I need to with those foods, though that’s really for shellfish and mollusks, which try to kill me. I’ve only used 2 ever through the years, and the one time I actually didn’t need it…wasn’t an allergic reaction. But times I went to the hospital too as a precaution.

I will note too that my mom was usually pretty bad at cutting toxic people out, especially if they were only toxic to my mom.

Oh and I am making a lemon sauce tonight for pasta if anyone happens to know of any good recipes. I’ll be googling anyway but just in case.

That’s more mature than my approach. I like to get revenge telenovela style. The problem is the plots are all really expensive and I’m an extreme cheapskate, so I’m left with only the two mediocre revenge plots:

  1. In disguise, get them to fall in love with me and leave their partner for me, only for me to reveal myself cackling, once it’s too late to get their old life back.
  2. Send them mail from unexpected senders, for example, a twin separated at birth!

I kind of just winged it for a lemon sauce. It was kinda more soupy than saucy, but it tastes good so that’s what counts.

I’m not sure if we even have any! Maybe next time. A lot of the recipes I saw called for cream and parmesan, so those might have helped some.
