Luna and Arti are getting more comfy. But my chihuahua does not like them, so we’re having them quarantined until she warms up to them.
grats!
It’s scary to think its gonna get progressively hotter every year. It’s already dang hot, please no more
Okay. I have a very stupid question. I’m not sure what words to use for this.
Say you have a couple. One is gay. One is Bi. When talking about the Bi person. Do you still call them gay or a lesbian if they’re in technically a gay / lesbian relationship? Just feels like I’m juggling words a bit. Like I made a Owl House joke with “The power of Lesbians” but Luz is Bi. So I’m not sure whats the fastest / easiest thing to say when making silly jokes. Because I don’t wanna come off like I’m erasing bisexuality or anything. That is absolutely what I do not want to do.
The perfect silly joke is right here: “The power of LesBIans”
Imma steal that, ty lol
If it’s real people, I’d just ask what they would prefer. For making a silly joke about fictional characters though, it’s probably fine!
Ty
It was just sort of a blind spot I had for awhile. I know folks probably think I know everything about lgbt stuff because of how long I’ve been yapping about it here on the forums. But I still have snags every now and then lol.
I’m not sure about the individual but I’ve seen relationships like that be called sapphic instead of lesbian bc of the bi individual. IDK if there’s a male equivalent though. But I think it does show some ppl would rather be seen as bi rather than only gay/lesbian.
Achillean is the male version of that. But I haven’t really heard folks use it compared to Sapphic.
Just popping in to say hi! Tonight is apparently pain night. Foot and back are causing me a lot of pain.
Ah, that’s not fun pain. I’m sorry to read that
Yeah it is not fun. Living with Chronic pain sucks.
I hear that
( got interstitial cystitis, hate it )
Ooof. One of my friends on Discord has a similar problem. I’m sorry you have to deal with that.
Freaking blows because I got to enjoy booze for just a few months before it started showing up. So I had to stop.
Doesn’t help that I was just 21. 34 now. Life kinda just. Stopped. For me. But that’s just a whole other talk and I’m already in a downer mood.
Trust me…I get it.
I identify as pan, it is easier to just say gay sometimes depending on the audience.
However as someone who dislikes bi/pan erasure, I’d likely ask. NOT saying you are doing that though.
I know people who default to “oh you’re dating the opposite sex, you weren’t Bi, just confused.” or the opposite “See, we knew you were gay!”
Purple states still have a lot of red thinking in them sadly.
Yeah trust me I am not one of those “oh you’re confused” folks.
I just don’t know a lot of bi people so I wasn’t sure.
Ain’t trying to be like some stupid The Boys fans who are all “reee they turned Frenchie gay!” when he’s been Bi this whole time. I just wasn’t sure about certain terminology and I didn’t wanna upset folks by accident when I’m just trying to be silly.
We refer to bisexuals locally as daywalkers and it’s been a hit at the gay bar. I figure most jokes are pretty fine as long as they aren’t punching down IMO.
