LGBTQ+ Megathread & Lounge (Part 1)

I totally get you and it’s totally okay to feel kind of blah at times so take a bit of time away, enjoy yourself and then return when you want to, also movies are always a win in my book I legit do that every night before I got to bed despite saying I’m going to bed. :yum: :yum: :yum:

Oh my gosh it’s funny you say that since I love making it into milkshakes.

I’m feeling kinda off today as well tbh. Thinking of doing a light exercise in an hour or so and do some work once I feel a bit more active

Awww, I’m sorry to hear that dearie and hugs to you as well. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Well I hope that it helps you and that you feel more like yourself afterwards.

I mix mine with mint chocolate candies.

I know there’s a couple of cat owners in this thread, so I’ma ask for advice. My kitten, Yuna, has gone from being the sweetest cuddly little thing to an angry, scratchy bitey child. I don’t know what to do. I followed what it says online (like ignoring her and redirecting) but it just doesn’t stop. Are kittens normally this aggressive? :frowning:

Cats are gonna be themselves. How old is your babe? Get scratching posts and other things for them to destroy. Kittens don’t usually know their power lol

Maybe just too much energy. Its why some cats get real squirrely if you pet them too much. They’re just “AH TOO MUCH ENERGY CANT GET IT OUT” and out come the murder feets

“If they are young, they could be learning/testing out, their teeth and claws. They also tend to test their boundaries, wondering if the rules have changed.”

Yeah usually other cats help them figure out “okay dont bite that hard cuz that hurts”

“Very true.”

She’s 8 weeks old now. She’s got a ton of toys and her cat tree has a scratching thingy but she prefers to bite and scratch us :sob:

How can I teach her that what she’s doing is bad? D:

Well if they’re anything like pet rats. Usually you could mimic a pained noise and appear upset. But rats are little empathy nuggets so of course they realize “Oh no I nibbled too hard”

“I’ll tell you what works for me… When they bite, I gently bop their nose, with just a finger or two, and tell them no, then give them a toy and tell them Yes. When they claw, I bop the paw and say no, them give them a toy and say yes. Both yeses are accompanied with pets.”

“That works for me.”

Yeah only problem with rats. Their “ow that hurt” squeak is really high pitch.

Thankfully I could mimic their “okay okay stahp it” protest squeak lol. Usually when I did the loud squeak and pulling my hand away. One of my rats, Loki, would try to get my finger with his adorable grabby hands so he could groom my hand as an apology. Little bugger.

An example of the protest shriek. They’re fine. Bean was just being a butt lol. The quieter squeaks are the smol “okay okay you win” squeaks

Honestly, I think she does it more when we say ouch or something

LOL, the cat in the video looks like her. I’m kind of wondering if she associated our hands with toys just because we use them to throw around her toys ???
Idk, I guess we’ll keep trying to redirect her

I’ll try this, thanks!

Yeah maybe try some of those string toys so they’re focusing on that and not your hand

I have heard that some cats mellow out once they get spayed / neutered. For now they’re young and everything is new and fascinating. They haven’t been to cat school yet among other cats lol.

“This is quite possible.”

Ok, I’ll start with the disclaimer that I am horrible with the no playing with your cat with your hands rule, and if you see my hands it’s pretty obvious =p

But, I kinda like air jail for a quick time out.

(first thing that wasn’t a tiktok video in image search)

Ah I’m well acquainted with air jail with rats lol. Most of the time tho they quickly figure out “oh i can jump to this” and do their little wiggle before pouncing lol

They can be wiggly especially when they’re young and prone to end up in air jail
