“I totally understand that feeling. Been there many times.”

Have any idea what your toons will do in the three ish year gap?

I’m just focusing on Rosenivy. And ohhhhhhhhh boy he’s gonna not have a fun time lol.

His memories of the shadowlands were stored away in Bastion because I hate the idea of just having knowledge of the afterlives in the realm of the living. He was soulbound to Draven and they had something together. They both have no idea what it was but it was nice.

So imagine suddenly missing a loved one and you have no memories of them. But the feeling is there. Anytime he tries to recall anything from the Shadowlands he gets a really strong headache.

Not knowing how to really cope with this, he kinda just goes on a 3 year wine bender. ( including a bit of drama with his incubus that lead to the incubus just chilling in Dreadscar Rift for most of the gap. Long story. They come back for Dragonflight ) When he’s approached by the Dragonscale Expedition , he at first doesn’t want to bother because he’s honestly reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally bored of fighting. Since he’s quite strong and combat is dull for him now. But he decides to go when told its mostly for research purposes.

He visits a healer and basically gets the addiction to alcohol blasted out of his body. Its not a fun process but it works similar to that expensive treatment that certain drug addicts can get to stop the addiction.

The rest is basically a big recovery arc for him when Dragonflight starts.

Speaking of stories, I wish we could customize our characters story in game similar to how Guild Wars 2 has done it.

Your assumption is that the accent is developed naturally even though there is not a shred of credible evidence to back that up. In fact, why would that accent be around at all for anyone to imitate had it not originally developed naturally?

“I think it is from way back around the beginning, when males were trying to hide their gayness, by dressing, and acting like women. They saw that women act and sound different, and were trying to imitate that. Back then they had no Collective, where they could openly ask women around them for help learning how to be female. It was a tough road for them, in those times. They did what they could, to survive as well as belong.”

“Shakespeare Actors would learn from the females, how to portray them. Because Women were not allowed to work in that field, so the men had to play the female parts.”

I doubt it. For one thing most women don’t sound like that. Also I’ve heard that accent on guys who had not come out publicly. Why would they deliberately take that risk?

I’m guessing it’s natural just like our gender preference itself, something that just develops early teen which you discover, not something you choose.

“I know I am right, because I learned it from my Drama Class Teacher, when we studied the History of the Stage.”

I agree an actor can imitate it, I’m just saying for non actors I don’t believe it is something they try to imitate.

I never said it developed naturally, it is an exageration of the ‘posh british accent’ it took something that was always considered effeminate, and then expanded on it to the point of parody in order to make a societal point. (at least thats my theory.)

It looks like someone did a very limited study in the early 2000’s- the straightest ranked voice was a gay man. Though a majority were guessed/ranked correctly. They seem to conclude it is a mixture of natural and subconsciously occurring

Wonder if they ever continued to do it

I don’t like hats in game or in real life but only for me, I don’t mind others liking them, using them, wearing them, etc. :yum: :yum: :yum:

Haha I understand that. I also don’t like hats IRL. But for some reason I love the basic armor for xmogs and I collect all the hats. I think it stems from loving the Emblazoned Hat on my twink druid early on in the game lol
