I am straight, and this thread is a haven for positive discussion. The other is filled with blatant homophobia. When it gets deleted, they’ll blame “woke” Blizzard.

this is the first lesson i learned after coming out as a gay man many years ago and im sure im not alone on this.
If you know who you are, you don’t need to prove it to anybody or have anybody conform to it.
thats how us gays got our rights in the first place, and the reason gay marriage acceptance is going up, while the acceptance of the over all lgbt community is going down statistically.
we got to where we are by saying, you dont have to change a thing about your own lives, we just want those same things. We did not get to where we are by making people change their language, which is an extremely privileged ask, there are languages that gender literally every word, you can even take away the gender defining words of sentences in these languages but, you’re still left with the letters at the end of each word which also signify its binary gender.

So what you are saying is that as a transgender man I should suck it up when someone misgenders me instead of correcting them? That me wanting to be addressed by the proper pronouns I’m making a privileged ask?

I don’t know how people think it’s oppressive to go “Hey can you actually refer to me as X, thanks”

I wish my doctor’s office would stop dead naming me.
They had an option for a preferred name and pronouns on the intake paperwork. Every time they call it, “Hi, is this dead name.”
Usually when I get misgendered I respond with one word, “He.”

the fist is a marxist symbol, look it up, and before you say “they aren’t using it that way” can I use a symbol and claim its being used differently then what the symbol means. Furthermore, the founders of BLM openly admit they are marxist.
