In fact, in War Crimes, it is established that he is literally comparatively Anduin’s age.
Given his drake form he’s at least late teenager / early 20s by our standards
I feel like Blizz had him interact with Anduin in MoP since they were around the same age. So to the viewer you end up with a visual clue to Wrathion’s age

Blizzard seems to have made him grow up fairly quickly, but physically he’s about 6-7 years old.
Cataclysm when we saved his egg happened in year 28 while the Legion was defeated in year 33.
Wow, he’s young in human years, but what is that like for dragons?
