LGBT+ Positivity Thread

I got some issues myself. Things I really can’t go into on a public forum. I recognize it’s not normal, and would never want it to be called “Normal”. That would prevent future treatments from being explored or developed.

Also lul “my personal fan club” Frostera shows up in every lgbt related thread.

Right? They’ve come into a thread where both you and I were long after we first started posted, then started moaning about how we, “followed” them there.

Imagine thinking you’re so important that I’d turn off a mute to respond to you.

No, you just somehow appeared. You’re not important enough for me to unmute. It’s cute you think that.

Seriously. They even showed up to the fairshaw thread that got shoved to the lore section AFTER it was moved from general discussion.

The bi flag has been around since the 1990’s IIRC and was meant to allow for greater bi visibility within the larger LGBTQI+ community. It’s colours are pretty!

The more you know I guess.

Except you just replied to me again - I’m not a coward, I won’t hide behind ignore while still talking poorly about someone. I’ll say it to their face, though that’s not really possible given you ignored me after I called you out on being a conspiracy theorist with “INSANE” - as you said - and ridiculous beliefs that are utterly illogical.

But go ahead, whine more about how you’re a victim after expressing the desire to murder people.

Eh, likewise, I have some not “normal” obsessions I can’t post here or I’d get YEETED out quick. For being too controversial.

Nobody is normal, anyone who says they are is only fooling themselves.

And if it’s something that is damaging you, I understand why you don’t want it to be normal. You can’t get treatments if it gets called normal. I can understand that.

Idk how you slipped past my mute, but back to oblivion with you. Ta ta!

They have pride flags for every sexual and gender orientation. Even the new Female-to-Female transitioning thing.

You are absolutely free to harbor whatever hate you want. And a private company doesn’t owe you a platform to spread that hate on.

Both things are true.

How the heck can you all stand to ignore someone. Boggles my mind.

( For those who may not know Boggles is a word: be astonished or overwhelmed when trying to imagine something)

I’m way to nosy. Even if it was a comment against me I want to know what was said.

They didn’t even spread any hate in the post you’re replying to.

Honestly I didn’t read the entire thing. There was a lot of to and fro with people insulting each other, which I agree is pointless.

In any debate with opposing viewpoints, there are people who are cruel and nasty and use personal attacks against others, and of course many who assume. If anything, it reflects both the passion and hurt people feel.

I prefer to adopt an attitude of unconditional positive regard. It’s bloody hard but works. This is something I have learnt from being a high school teacher - If i regard a student positively, even if their behaviour is awful, then I have a chance at building a relationship with them. If this works. I usually find out that they’ve had trauma that explains why they are acting that way, and then I can start to build trust and a pathway to learning. Sometimes, if a student leaves my class feeling like someone gives a crap about them, then I consider that a win.

A bit off topic, but related to the point I think.

I didn’t say they did.

That has got to be someone trolling…

Just because one doesn’t agree with someone, doesn’t mean they hate them. You think I hate right wingers or left wingers for not sharing the same opinions as me? No, no two people think alike.

The word “Hate” is used an abused.
