If you dont care about it, it does not exist. Nobody is forcing you into LFR.
I don’t care either way, personally. I’m just here for that “but I haaaaave to do it my tieeeeeeer!” drama
I would rather they just add flex raiding early. It’s a better solution to the problem LFR was added to solve in the first place.
It won’t the fun of say retail loot systems later on but yeah…I demand a show to go with my popcorn.
Retail side personal then even group loot makes this half the fun of LFR.
why did the dude who died 10 seconds in get MY piece.
It wasn’t their piece. and RNG said so.
not to be… RDF is tolerant, but LFR was the reason why the pve status began to fall, which is the most advisable thing that does not exist in cataclysm classic.
I don’t use LFR and want it in the game the same way it is in retail. I’m not as good as some and better than others. If someone isn’t as good as me, I like that they can have a version that gives them the opportunity to see content the same way I do.
People who get mad that someone whose skill level is lesser and gets to experience the same content need psychological counseling.
LFR is NOT required for you to do normal or heroic difficulty. If LFR is to easy then don’t do it, go join a normal or heroic pug, gdkp, or guild run.
Its always funny when people put conditions for other people.
So are many guilds. I have yet to find a guild of people who care about each other more then they do about loot and do stuff together just for the heck of it
Should be a notch below as LFR is a notch below in difficulty.
Its ilvl should be worst than normal raids but better than heroic dungeons. It’s badge drops should be half
I hope it’s in at launch personally but doubt we’ll be so fortunate.
And it should just drop lower item level versions of the raid gear like in the past.
If you feel compelled to do LFR in Classic for an “edge” over decade old content…
That’s a personal problem. Classic is supposed to be about fun and nostalgia.
You want competition and ego stroking go back to retail.
I will say it’s highly unlikely we’d get it at launch, even if the devs were all for it. It’s not like RDF where they can just flip a switch and activate it, they’d have to completely retune every raid before Dragon Soul, because there isn’t any data for an LFR version of the other raids
Then again, if the “7 new raids” from the presentation wasn’t an accident, and Cata is getting an entire new raid, who knows…
LFR and the analysis that only 10% of players were actually raiding…
See, Raids used to be fairly brain dead easy. Almost anyone could do them without having to parse or top perform. Then came some hard modes and soon after that heroic raids. Then Mythic raids…
It’s called escalation. It can trap players into only being able to play inside a box. This box is partially the result of Blizzard making it this way and partially because the player base insists on it. Now there isn’t many options for the folks left to rot so they came up with a solution that is LFR. It’s back to being brain dead easy and you get something to trophy from it.
Is this a great solution? I personally don’t think so. The Classic community didn’t either that’s why they have kept coming back to Classic.
That’s basically how it was in 4.3. LFR is fine. It’s a story mode that gives worse gear and is only added for Dragon Soul. The full negative impact of LFR won’t be seen until MoP, when the game has fully transitioned to Retail.
Lfr is fine. Just make it share a lockout with normal.
If lfr comes to be, keep teir out of it.
Let it be for off peices (still of lower ilvl) weapons, etc. No teir.
I would personally prefer no rdf at a, but we dont always get our way.
You all draw very arbitrary lines of “retail”
Wrath was the biggest jump into retail where the rest were slow transitions
Well unless they either split the lockouts and/or add flex raiding we’ll have to deal with the issue not having even LFR caused, the reasons they added LFR in the first place.
It needs to NOT exist and be replaced by flex raids.
You know, the easier difficulty from the end of mists of pandaria that eventually became normal mode.
And yes that was queueable too, at least in SoO.
Nope. Full rewards.
You don’t have to do LFR.
They don’t have to do heroic.
Would you like LFR raiders to dictate what rewards heroic raiders do or don’t get?
Why then do you think you have a say in what they do or do not earn from it?
Honestly this might be the most elegant solution. No one gets shorted on gear just for doing the easy difficulty, active raiders don’t feel “forced” to run it for tier since they’ll want to run normal, everyone wins
