LFR raiders locked out of story content till Feb

Which past ?

Even as far back as SoO, in 2013, there was 2 weeks between wing 2 and 3 and 2 weeks again between wing 3 and 4.

You’d have to go back pretty far to find 1 week per wing, back to the first tier of MoP, which was only the 2nd time LFR was ever a thing.

2 weeks has been the norm. The 3 week delay was because of the holiday break.

So what? There’s youtube for story.

Oh, I thought it was faster previously. And if it was just the break, then it won’t be that bad for the future, I guess.

Most people who belong to guilds don’t get to raid with those guilds.

It’s okay, Ion. You can just let it go.

“You don’t deserve any gear whatsoever. You shouldn’t even be able to play any content, but I can lecture you to pug even though I would never accept a player without gear into a pug group. Why don’t all you people quit and stop forcing me to make a jerk of myself in this thread?”

You’re conveniently ignoring the scaling changes this expansion. You now need gear to farm transmog. That’s not to mention Twisting Corridors. There have been tons of threads about it. Plus every other form of content in the game. Telling someone they don’t need gear because they don’t raid is like telling grandma she doesn’t need electricity because she won’t get a computer.

Are you seriously trying to convince us that 100% of guild members are on their guild’s raid team?

Yeah grandma doesn’t have a fridge or a stove either - You don’t need gear.

You said most are not, and I think that’s probably not accurate. All the guilds I’ve ever been in made it a point to get everyone who wanted to raid into at least a normal run. And I know others do the same.

That was the point I was making, but you doubled down on your original statement anyway. Apparently non-raiders never fight any mobs in their activities. No gear required.

All the guilds I have been in on my many characters have a raid team, a few friends/alts that get carried, and hundreds of social members who don’t raid but are the social fabric of the guild, without whom the guild would fade away. Those people have to pug all their own content.

Well LFR can be hard depending on the boss, some like Xavius are a cakewalk while N’Zoth was just a nightmare with 10 stacks of determination.

Do they want to raid and aren’t allowed? Or are they just there to chill? If it’s the former then the guild is failing them.

I love it when “raiders” imagine that every person in every guild should be on a raid team, as though that’s somehow the natural order of things to have every guild with hundreds of members and dozens of raid teams.

It sounds like it’s been a long time since you’ve been one of the common people.

Who said that? I said the people who want to raid should always be able to.

If people don’t want to raid why would it be an issue that they’re not on the raid team?

If you want to look pretty go play Skyrim.

You did. You said if you belong to a guild, you should be raiding with them.

Would you accept the people who want to do the story in LFR onto your raid team? Of course not.

Because you’re telling people who aren’t raiders that they should become raiders in order to complete mandatory storyline quests.

Nah. I really didn’t.

Specifically called out wanted to raid.

We run normal every week all expansion and take anyone who can zone in if they want to join. We’ll also get a group and queue LFR if people are interested.

Please quote where I said that.

Saying that LFR is not raiding is not talking down to other players. It is stating a fact that LFR is like watching a raid through a window, not actually raiding.

If that offended you, that’s not really my issue. If you feel that someone stating that LFR is easy and a joke is equivalent to talking down to people, you’ve got some things to figure out. You need not include me in that.
