And indeed, you are another one who is posting to justify how one player got 4 pieces of loot off a boss, which would never have happened with PL

and would happpen one in a million at best with group loot , unless they were he only ones rolling need on some items .

the Ret Paladin with loot spec set to Holy won the roll to give it to his guildmate, which is what 5 other people were trying to do too

We did this with personal loot too btw.

But it’s not just wanting to preserve mog rolls. It’s that item level is a highly flawed measure of item power level. Disallowing players from rolling need on lower item level pieces would also disallow them rolling on items that would improve their performance in many cases.

oh yes , tier , trinkets and jewlery are the ones where Ilvl doesnt matter --forgot about that . Mad Queens trinket for example - LFR one is far better than most heroc track trinkets

I will say that personal loot at least upped your chances of getting something when RNG wasn’t on your side because of the bad luck protection

It didn’t have bad lunch protection though. You just feel like you won more.

I, on the other hand, had atrocious luck with PL and have gotten everything a ton faster since GL came back, especially shields which I almost never saw drop under PL.
