LFR Loot Rolling Needs a Serious Overhaul

Also make all loot deterministic.

Chefs kiss.

I completely agree, they should disable inspect in LFR.

Someone malded and told me they were gonna post about it on reddit then blocked me the other day when I refused to give them the loot that I have won. People need to understand that we don’t run lfr for valorstones or to carry others. No one is entitled to lfr loot, if you’re not happy, just join or make a static.

If one’s ilvl in a particular slot exceeds what is being rolled on their only roll options should be greed, transmog, or pass.

Personal Loot is the exact same you just don’t get to see the rolls.

You assume the higher-geared players are competent to be able to ‘carry’ someone … bug ASSumption there!

Should just make it to where if your current gear is of the same item level or lower you can only roll Greed or Pass and Need is disabled for you. Then only players where the item level is higher for you can roll Need.

Okay I see people asking for personal loot alot.

Help me here; is personal loot literally not the same as the system we have now? You would just not see the rolls correct? So what’s the difference?

Also if someone killed the same boss you killed they have as much right to the loot as you do, why wouldn’t they? Doesn’t matter if the need the Ilvl or delete the item from their bags.

tbh ploot is just there to lessen the blow so ppl dont get upset
that others dont need the gear and rather have it fed into the void.
what people dont see or know i guess lol.

its just player courtesy, ppl will blast u for ninja rolls back then
but now ppl can just do w/e bc youll never see em again in rdf lol.

Transmog rolls should be seperate from need. Who ever wins the transmog roll would automatically be given the appearance, but no loot, while the person who won the need rolls would be given the loot and transmog appearance.

So people want personal loot only because they don’t want to get upset by “losing” a roll?

That is maidenless behavior.

So you be happy if we had lfr personal loot and the gear would randomly drop into a 610+ players inventory instead of them rolling for it?

I do LFR for mog, I Q’d to roll need on mog, that’s what I need, so I push need.

It’s because they decided to ignore the lesson they should have learned during Cata. Remember when LFR originally came out and everyone was rolling on everything because they could?

They nixed it for a reason folks.

OP. unfortunately this is how Bliz apparently wants it now. But I totally understand the frustration.

Honestly? Yes.

Let the system go back to deciding.

Don’t like it, go form your own group.

How would that be any different though? The system is deciding either way.

Again the same could be said to you; don’t like it, form your own group :woman_shrugging:

If an item is not an upgrade for a player they shouldn’t be allowed to roll need.

It’s that simple. Transmogs can be picked up later when players are geared up.

Progression in the game is more important than someone wanting a transmog item.

The original intention of LFR was that everyone got to see the content, but that you would also be able to gear up to go onto the next level of content.

Now, I love tranmog as much as the next person (I change my outfits like every other week), but I would never actively go out of my way in the BEGINNING of a tier to roll need against someone just for transmog/gold/shards.

That’s some crappy behavior and it’s not like this content is going away in 5 months. It’s always going to exist as long as WoW continues to exist. There are literally people in there trying to complete their bonus sets (unless that’s still the same system from last expac).

This “GOT TO HAVE IT NOW” attitude is ridiculous as far as that goes (transmog).

And this is coming from a Goblin.

Bliz needs to change the way the transmog rolls work so you don’t have to feel the need to do this. It should really be it’s own little system. Same with enchanting.

For example, the need button would be blank if you already have the higher piece/ appearance in your inventory/already collected but it would show up with a roll for transmog option and the one that rolls the highest there wins the appearance. Totally separate from the NBG and enchanting systems.

It’s stupid the way they have it now.

We’d see a lot less posts like this at the beginning of a tier.

It’s going to be like this at the beginning of every tier if it continues on like this. Frankly, I’m just going to copy and paste this exact response to all of these because that’s where I’m at with this argument.

How many years do we have to argue about this one? We’ve been arguing about the NbG systems for almost two decades now.
