Yeah just have LFR go back to personal loot so people can win gear and not have other people freak out because they had to push a button to roll instead of the game automatically doing it for them then handing the loot to the 400 ilvl person.
More likely that person is an enchanter and needs it for disenchantment material so yes, they’ll need it ,unfortunately.
Bring it back so we can hide our drops again I say.
Just for fun for OP to know
I made a 2nd tank for the sole intention of getting lfr transmog cuz I’m not allowed to get it on this DK
So now I need on rings and trinkets on the alt, cuz they vendor for a cool price and the necks got me a mount
Side note, I do wish they would bring back master loot for normal, heroic and mythic raids because some guilds / groups still do ML but they just pass on everything except one person then that person distributes it.
It’s weird.
I did and found out the hard way. Wasnt able to press Need on a single item from entire LFR except diurna which is impossible to get que for. And lfr drop a lot of items from eqch boss due to size of the group…so i was like wtf is this scam…went to the forums and blue posts to find out more about this.
And everyone whos defending this didnt do lfr at all or have low ilvl and can roll there…I was quing it for the naive vision of bottled essence, ill never do it again since i dont wanna carry anybody for nothing.
Lol yeah I’m 404 on the main and the only thing it lets me roll for now is trinkets and even then they gotta be off raz to even get a thing to pop up.
Although it weirdly let’s me need off hands though but I think that’s cause I’ve been using a staff idk.
you just KNOW for a fact, without a shadow of a doubt that ANYONE who is cool with hitting need on crossrealm/matchmade drops purely to vendor knows for a fact that if they did the same thing in a non matchmade group they’d get kicked so hard they’d be standing for the next month. Not to mention if they did the same during the pre crossrealm everything days they’d be coughing up USD’s to server transfer, or finding a new game to play.
All these people “oh i deserve it just as much”. When they just turn around and vendor it. When they could literally make the same amount of gold in an actual minute by killing some mobs in the open world. They are literally ONLY doing this because the game empowers them. They are gutter tier trash on legs who despise “community” yet likely harp on about how much “community” “lfr/lfg” has “taken” from the game.
No wonder the games dying. the “wow killer” is never going to be another game. its going to be scumlord tier players who drive it into the floor
Faith is the hope for things unseen. With humanity, that doesn’t work out so well.
If I can need I will need. Now if I see someone who have a much lower ilvl level they are being nice I will give it to them since someone did that to my hunter.
they didn’t. it’s not ninjaing when somebody else gets loot you wanted.
Personally, I wish they’d just restore personal loot for LFR so that I can go back to farming that transmog with my 404 pally.
Right, you could still farm the tmogs and other items, etc, just not at the cost of someone else.
Exactly. I’m just there to do a lot of damage and collect transmog.
Possibly explain fight mechanics.
I’m gonna be real. LFR raz loot needs to be normal item level or higher. Or nerf it on LFR.
I am officially done with that fight.
I understand the tmog argument, I do. I also collect LFR tmog, or did in the past. I am all about dressing up my barbie doll. The thing is I don’t think it’s ok to need on a mog when it’s an ilvl UG for others. I just feel bad doing that so I don’t. You guys, legit, don’t feel bad about doing that??? I guess I’m one of the few people in this thread that feel bad about it.
This is true and they admitted it already.
Everyone that is pro LFR group loot was 100% against it in Normal +. They evben said that rolling in for the kill to just need on loot and leave was “stealing” and you didn’t work for it.
Meanwhile, they say in LFR so long as you participate in a kill you deserve loot.
I hand over anything that isn’t an upgrade to whoever needs it. Even if they don’t ask.
I don’t understand why it’s like this either.
Group loot makes sense in a guild environment. Even if you have a toxic loot council you will EVENTUALLY be pretty much guaranteed every drop because everyone else is just kitted out. The roll system works the same. Even if you are really unlucky, the bad luck protection is that once people in your guild get kitted, you won’t need to have good luck because everything will eventually go to you and what few members aren’t in full 405+ gear yet.
This does not exist in LFR. In LFR, every single pug you join is going to be full of people who very well may need literally anything that drops. In a guild, people might pass you stuff that is a minor ilvl upgrade for them, but a massive upgrade for you. In an LFR? They don’t know you. They haven’t been raiding with you for weeks/months. They have no idea what the ILVL landscape of any given group is, so why in the hell would they pay attention. And even if they did, why would they give a minor upgrade for them to a stranger?
So in a guild, even if it isn’t freeroll and you have the most toxic bloodsucking loot council on the face of the earth, you will still eventually get geared. In a pug? You could literally do every wing of LFR once or twice without getting zilch.
LFR should be personal loot. Honestly, I don’t understand why it doesn’t even exist as an option for guilds. It’s not any better than need>os>greed>pass group loot, and if anything it is literally worse for more organized guilds. So why isn’t it an option?
No i dont, never will. I put in the same amount if not more effort during the encounter, why would i feel bad? I never felt bad getting transmogs in personal loot and telling people no when they instantly sent the “do you need” messages - also didnt feel bad when they baby raged afterward.
With how easy it is to break past LFR gear level and get instantly into grinding M+, storms or what ever your peak looks like, why would i feel bad in LFR?
An example: Made a priest, boosted to 60, leveled to 70 in around 4 hours, went and got my 5 sparks, tranfered some chaos from main to alt, made lariet, mastery ring, well fed buff wep, off hand, and eng bracers, did the world quests that were offering infusions, got my tailor to make the hughest possible gear on the slots i had avaliable, made a ring of new beginings with M0 infusion, smashed out world tour M0’s, hit around 370-375, started pumping m+ 2-6 inbetween doing world events for the reward box (chance of getting trinkets). Smashed out normal raid and managed to get 4 set with catalyst. Skipped LFR because already had 4 set normal/M+.
Get rid of ALL gear drops from raids and switch to a currency system (unique currency for each difficulty).
Let people have a clear path and reward for their time.
- Eliminates artificial gear progression (gear feeding)
- Allows players to be fairly rewarded for their time, effort, and weekly lockout
- Eliminates any ninjaing possibility
- Eliminates loot drama
- Eliminates unfair loot distribution
- Gives players a clear path to gear advancement - they need X number of boss kills to get X item
