And that’s okay. On my realm there’s plenty of raids that advertise in Trade Chat and the LFG channel.
You can look at their earnings reports too. Of course the company’s own reports might not be enough for you.

Gaz was saying WoW was in bad shape financially. I mentioned the Superdata report that showed it was #4 and #6 the last 2 months in revenue. My source was being questioned, because you know it is the WoW GD forums. I guess Superdata a division of Neilsen is not a more reputable source than how many Twitch viewers a game has.

I will freely call LFR garbage, say that it promotes apathy, poor play, laziness, and dissuades people from building lasting social bonds.
You will never see me call the people thay partake in LFR names though. There is a big difference.

Thats the basis of the entire argument. LFR prevents people from being giving that little nudge that could lead to lasting and real friendships, which is what leads to long term player retention.
You can argue til you are blue in the face I doubt you will change my mind.
Just remember before you decide to play the victim card it was YOU who attacked my character and insulted my personality, not the other way around.
You can read their site on how they get their data. A lot of companies use them, I mean A LOT!

LFR is another OPTION…a CHOICE…it doesnt PREVENT anything.

You know what all of this is? This is literally all of the things you think they’re not inviting you for. Like…unless your name is actually offensive who the hell doesn’t invite you for that alone?
Unless you’re a prot paladin I don’t see this being the case for anyone. Right now in MC, you need a lot of Mages for Decurse and it’s ideal to have 4 Locks for Banishing on Gar as well as having 4 tanks and a decent spread of healers. Everything else can literally be whatever in your DPS lineup.

And if I wanted to find a group as a ret paladin, shadow priest, or feral druid in Classic?
Or hell, even as a non-dwarf healing priest. I’ve seen groups there reject folks purely for that. They claim that choosing a non-dwarf for aesthetic reasons is “selfish” and “not a team player” and thus they feel don’t deserve groups.
If they are only inviting friends why would they be advertising in trade chat or the LFG tool?
I lead plenty of groups. I don’t think I’ve ever rejected someone for their name, however in rare cases some people have gotten a free heroic carry because they were signed up and despite being horribly underqualified for the group their name was hilarious.
What is this? Where do I get an invite?
Uhhhh thats not how it works. If one group has 6 healers another might have 1. Sign up for the group that needs your class / spec / role.
