LFG toxicity is just sad

Title. I’ve lost count of times when me or someone else got kicked (or attempted to be kicked) for no good reason, specially on alts.

Example: I got kicked for asking “why did you hero?” after our shaman used hero on Draga (the orc guy before Valiona appears on Grim Batol), is a simple question that offensive?

Vote kicks in dungeons are out of control and honestly infuriating, I wasted 15 minutes of my time on a dungeon because people in a group felt like removing me from the group.

Since there’s no punishment (nor limit) for arbitrary removals, why not just hop on the toxic train and attempt to kick everyone that me and my buddies feel like? AFK 20 seconds? kick. Didn’t jump on Stonecore elementals? Kick. Needed on an item that my buddy wanted to DE? Kick. At this point let’s just make a group of 4 and kick everyone who enters our group, putting the entire server on a 30 minute debuff.

Edit: OK what even is this game, the shaman was completely silent the whole dungeon and Gódgame just decided to kick him, while typing completely racist BS on the messages multiple times https://imgur.com/a/l3MSflV

What difference would it have made at that point? Did you want to go back and forth with him? Did you want to kick him instead?

Maybe he just wanted to point out that it would have been much better used on the final boss.

It’s a question typed out in seconds mid fight, I didn’t want anything from it. The hero would be better used on the last boss, that’s all.

I think it is more likely that you asked “WTF NOOB?! Why the F did you use hero on this boss?! Uninstall and L2P scrub!”

That being said, I do think that they need to do a 1 kick per day limit. Use it for something stupid and risk not having it available when you really do need it.

A shaman used hero yesterday on a HoT trash pack and no one batted an eye.

No, I literally typed “why did you hero?”, no cap, otherwise I wouldn’t be here posting about toxicity while being toxic myself. I’m in control of what I say, but I can’t control what people interpret.

ive had several groups where someone is doing practically no damage but we don’t kick them because its obvious they need the gear. ive had several groups where all 5 people were from different realms and 2-3 of them cussing eachother out the whole time and no one got kicked. even had groups where a dps had to go afk at the start and we ended up basically 4 manning most of the dungeon before they came back and still didn’t kick them.

i refuse to believe you got kicked for simply asking a question.

These new kids have never had to find a group over Azeroth, get everyone to the Dungeon, get halfway through only to find folks ran out of ammo/bag space/mana drinks, and it shows.

Folks are slow. Folks don’t research fights or their character abilities. These folks hit a wall in the Dungeon finder. Not their fault. We’re all human.

Folks are skilled, obsessive. Folks enjoys going fast, getting multiple runs done with like- skilled characters or one that will carry the fight for them. Not their fault. It us a game.

I don’t have an answer.

Seconding Nemestrinus. I’ve done hundreds of dungeons since RDF was implemented in Classic and several thousand in my time playing WoW as a whole, and I can count the number of times an unjust kick has happened on my hands

It’s happened to me a few times. Most of it at the start of Cata. There was so much toxicity during the first 4 months or so.

One such example was when I was messing around on alts. We got a bear tank that was just getting geared in heroic dungeons. They weren’t amazing by any means, but weren’t doing bad either. We didn’t really wipe, they just took a bit of damage. The Hunter in our group was constantly trying to kick the tank. I voted no, trying to explain to them that we were doing fine and that nobody was wiping. Didn’t stop them though. I continued to stand up for the tank. Well, this Hunter decided to kick me. And it passed >.>

I stood up for that tank, and then they voted yes on kicking me. I really hope that tank got booted after I did.

The sad thing? I was playing a Frost Mage, and I had less gear than this Hunter, who was also playing SV. And I was out dpsing them. :dracthyr_shrug:

Is there any way to post images on the post? the first group I get on my pally there’s some crazy racist guy spamming votekicks on a shaman who didn’t even type anything. I have proof and I want him banned for what he typed.

Did you report him? If not then too little too late.

Wait, why? This doesn’t even mean the tank hit yes, it would have only taken the healer and other dps to hit yes since the hunter started the vote kick.

Post the link.

There are three sides to every story:

Side A
Side B
and the whole truth.

The whole truth is never told.

Crazy, right? And that’s exactly my point, because it’s true. Up to you to believe or not.

Here’s your proof, just happened in my group, you probably haven’t played wow long enough. The shaman was completely silent the whole run.

I’ve rarely seen toxicity in RDF. I’m not saying that it doesn’t happen (because that would be stupidity), but there has to be a common denominator.

buddy ive been around since TBC originally was retail. this was my main up until Legion, can even go check my achievements to see some from back in 2008 when wrath launched.

ive ran thousands of dungeons using RDF and i can honestly say ive only ever seen a handful of unjust kicks and your screenshot is one of them but instead of coming here complaining on the forums you should have reported the guy and kicked them yourself and then put him on ignore if reporting doesn’t already do that.

but if you are constantly seeing these unjust kicks and toxicity then the only thing i can tell you is that you are the common denominator

Well, I’ve been playing since Vanilla and used RDF heavily in Wrath, a lot in Cata, and heavily again in MoP and have never once seen someone hold a group hostage. Or a tank demand to be kicked.

The rules in place right now only serve to empower toxic, elitist trolls.

This is really all that can be concluded. Like, yeah, different people have different experiences, but something really doesn’t add up when for some people this is apparently a daily occurrence, while for others you’re more likely to get struck by lightning
