So I finally had the opportunity to give some Heroic+ a try this weekend. I’ve only done two so far (VH and AK) but I think they’re really fun. I can totally see why they’re a easy for folks who already geared in Naxx, but I’ve got a side group I run with that only does dungeons together and this will be a nice addition to our progression path. I’m looking forward to when we can tackle these.
With that said, I just did some pugging this weekend. Honestly, it’s a real shame that the LFG tool doesn’t differentiate between Heroic and Heroic+ like it does between Normal and Heroic. There should be a separate category for this so it’s easy to find groups you’re looking for. It would still be a bit of a pain, but even if the description showed what type of group you were looking for, it would help.
Has there been any word on why this was left out, or whether or not there are plans to address this?
I just wish we’d get event dungeons ports. Pain in the sandy bum.
My 2 LFG improvement suggestions would be
add H/H+ differentiation or a tag, same as “New player friendly”.
See the list of applicants - those who spam “Request to join” and then whisper and you can’t inv them before cancelling 10 other requests. Make it same as retail LFG tool.
Yes there was actually. It was a design decision, left out intentionally. They want people to talk to each other to figure things out… that’s literally a quote from Blizzard.
This is specifically in regards to H+. I really don’t remember where it came from though. I don’t recall if this was something seen on the forums or if this was said during a community council meeting/dev discussion that gets recorded and put on youtube.

That does sound crazy though. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m all for players talking to each other, but this isn’t really the best way to facilitate that. The whole point of LFG is to allow for visual filters to get to the community of players you want to interact with, then interact with them.
It’s nonsense for me to have to go through a list of 20+ groups and say, “Hey is this H or H+?”, wait for a reply, then repeat.
For sure. I’ll take a quick look around and see if I can find anything. If it was apart of a dev discussion though, that might be a situation of all hope lost lol those things are like 90 mins, I’m not devoted enough to spending that much time finding the answer.
But yes, that’s exactly why it doesn’t make sense to most of us either. There should be a separate tab. It’s just too exhausting to have to continuously look for a tank/healer because your last one only wanted heroic+.
People also shouldn’t be able to list themselves for dungeons they’re locked to since it seems 10-15% of the population can’t remember what they’ve done in the last 24 hours.
i hear what ur saying op it does need work but since they wont work on it i say we skip the nonsense and add rdf. like the population is lowerin guys lol. lets just stop the bull bc this is a game and ppl wanna play not sit 6 hours for groups and say “tank?” “summon?” all day that is at most ppl will talk. pls come on rdf.
I mean, I know you guys love RDF and all, but if they didn’t put a separate category in the current group finder for Heroic+, what makes you think they would for RDF? In fact, I suspect that they wouldn’t include it in RDF at all.
I’m not for RDF myself, but whatever your preference, H+ should probably be a part of it. I think it’s actually good content for what it’s intended for. It’s just harder than it needs to be to connect with players who are doing it
Wrath is managed by a retail skeleton crew that doesn’t care about the game at all. They just follow orders of the suit guys who tell them what new objective/kpi will be.
Don’t expect overhaul fixes and improvements. Just raid and kill Arthas when ICC comes and move on with wow classic
No it wasn’t. What you’re referring to and conflating was them explaining the “design decision” behind leaving out RDF. They never specifically addressed RDF as it pertains to H+
