A new system where you can either q for normal ranked 3’s by yourself or with a friend and it will auto pair you with someone of a similar rank. Maybe allow you to blacklist specific specs that wouldn’t work with your comp.
After the game finishes give the players and option to form a group where they could q more games together.
Sure you’ll get bad teammates from time to time and the q’s could be long if your qing solo but it would be a better way to find partners outside of lfg.
This would be neat. Being able to pick and choose a third DPS would be nice. Would this replace solo shuffle?
Absolutely in favor of this. Would love to see it implemented. Reducing the barrier to the bracket that provides glad would absolutely see an insane uptick in participation. Shuffle is proof of that.
Would preferably be in addition to solo shuffle. If you want the true fully random experience you’ve still got that, but if you want some structure to your comps with the potential of making a normal 3’s team this would be the option.
Had similar thoughts a couple months ago:
This is kinda the way people initially thought they were going to implement solo q. Instead of the wacky gamemode they ended up creating. Something to help the normal brackets participation rather than dividing it further.
I’m enjoying 3’s quite a bit right now on my resto druid. I like being able to choose which comp to play with. Hpals are obviously stronger but it’s not as obvious as solo shuffle. Bracket seems super deflated though. 1800 seems a lot harder than i remember
I honestly thought this was how they were going to introduce solo que into WoW. A solo/dynamic que option that will let you pick up preferences of what you’d like to que with.
It wouldn’t further divide the already tiny player pool, it would probably have shorter ques for DPS than current shuffle, it would mean people don’t have to play 6 rounds and could leave after one if they wanted - and finally, it would promote 3v3. You would do better in comms, so it would encourage people to que comms but also allow for people to just log on and play.
While I’m not sure how popular dynamic que would be if it was introduced instead of shuffle…trust Blizzard to come up with a way to implement something in one of the worst ways imaginable and then neglect it.
Dynamic queue is a trash idea that stands to almost exclusively benefit people who queue with premade groups and coordinate in discord.
I’d rather see solo shuffle turned to one round and people can blacklist maybe 2-3 (maybe more) specs to play with to curb the “bad luck” aspect of random comps
How is it different from no voicing though?
People no voice/LFG all the time, still get good rating/mmr.
Yeah, and the only way to fix that would be to add a chunk of mmr to the rando team, and even that’s not ideal because rando trash comp not on voice vs real comp on voice is just a doomed mode.
There is no difference in practice with a single match. However the shear volume of people who will utilize dynamic queue over LFG will, as I said, exist almost exclusively to the benefit of premade with voice.
I disagree, I think that people (including myself) would be qing it constantly.
There are players that want to do 3s but don’t want to do RSS, give them the option to.
It really is just throwing randos into the meat grinder, and that’s why they didn’t do it.
Well, likely part of the reason, anyways.
They absolutely would queue it constantly. Being match made with a random/semi-random comp with no voice and fighting another group of the same circumstance is fine. However being the match made group queueing into a team of three friends who are in discord is ultimately:
dynamic queue should def not replace lfg, but a solo queue option for 2s and 3s that utilizes the same pool of players within the brackets would greatly increase participation.
of course it’ll be worse than coordinated call groups, that’s the point. it’s not suppose to be an even playing field, it’s suppose to be for people that just want to queue arenas, no questions asked.
lfg is for pushing, dynamic queue is for conquest farming, alt fun, etc
I don’t think that matters tbh. People are already doing this. I find random partners through LFG and I never use voice and do fine
So like skirms but ranked for the purposes of trying to inject some life into 2s/3s
I find this is uncompelling
ya almost exactly like skirms except i agree with op’s notion to blacklist some specs/roles if that’s what you’re into.
that’s fine if it’s not compelling for you, it’s not meant for you. it’s meant for people like this warlock i queue with that has like 2000 games played in shuffle/arenas on both toons that just heckin’ loves arenas
It’s not for anybody because it doesn’t and likely won’t exist for what are hopefully obvious reasons.
