Yes wasted. As now they are unable to kick a toxic player in the group due to wrath basically forcing one kick per instance.
That might be one of the reasons it’s there (it’s really not) but non the less it’s making you waste that kick due to someone not being able to pick there correct spec. Now you don’t have for the main reason it is there getting rid of a toxic player. The kick was not there to get rid of someone signing up to a role and trying. As such them signing up and being unable to preform it wasent a reason blizzard wanted it used for in fact that was stated a few times. This was also why later on blizzard made you have that spec to que to prevent people from needing to waste kicks doing exactly that.
Rdf is not perfect and in the case example it’s is worse that what we have so no most def can’t be considered as such not even close. I would agree it’s overall better but it’s far from perfect and can’t be considered that in any sense of the word.
Not quite it’s called typing on a phone and as such auto correct picks the one to use for you. There is little reason to go back and correct it when speaking in a informal setting this is a massive diff to what you where doing in that thread of claiming the exact opposite of what was said and outright stating word meant completely different things than what was outright said. What you did was no different than saying the sky was pink when someone said it was blue. But yes keep going and showing your lack of intelligence.
“I am too lazy to start my own groups using the LFG tool and feel as though this calls for RDF so I can lazily hit a button and just be teleported to dungeon 5 minutes later.”
I have only had this happen once so far, hope it’s not a growing trend.
I would just suggest ignoring that player/leader from now on. Eventually that person will be blacklisted enough, and, you won’t need to deal with them ever again, win-win.
Also, people… whisper others before inviting them if you want them to do other dungeons or tank. I think a good amount are flexible. Ya’ll need to understand we’re all real people and deserve basic courtesy. It’s not hard to throw out a simple whisper “Would you mind tanking?” It’s going to go better anyway instead of trying to barter a DPS who’s never tanked into that position and ruining the run anyway.
Making your own groups is addressing the behavior. You cannot change or control the way others act, you can only control how you act. If you’re having issues with how others lead their groups then you need to be the change you wish to see.
but yet that doesnt solve the problem, how does a plate dps who gets kicked for being plate dps manage to run a group that these same people kicking him would join, see him being plate dps, and just leave. so now instead of being kicked, hes being repeatedly abandoned. either way hes stuck in que doing nothing fighting to find that one of the very small number of non eltist gatekeepers actually still using LFG.
so how does this in any way help the OP? only one solution i know of solves it and still allows the gatekeepers to keep doing their thing with manual grouping.
Because then they can become more toxic with them personally (either in game or on the forums).
Funny thing is, posting on whatever toon you want does not change the message conveyed, only those who are a bit short in the intelligence department thinks it does.
If OP keeps getting kicked from groups, then being group leader prevents them from exactly that. Your made up scenario about constant abandonment is laughable and not something OP said was the issue. I know you want RDF, but until it’s added the only options are make your own groups or accept it and deal with it.
this has happened to me so many times, i queue as “DPS” druid boomkin (it doesnt allow you to select your spec so it CLEARLY says DPS)… I get invited into a group, sweet - its the dungeon i wanted. First thing, your a healer right? I say… ummm no im dps, thats why i queued as dps… they say, okay great just switch to healing spec and lets go… me again… um no, i queued as DPS - i dont have healing spec, them no problem we will wait, go back to town switch to healing and lets go… me… um no, and than gets booted and flagged for not being a team player…
I have to agree with this totally.
There is no RDF tool (like in retail that you are wanting) so the current tool is what you have.
Until the time Blizzard releases the RDF tool (if it ever does - I’m not for or against it btw), you’ll need to take matters into your own hands. If you feel as though things are not what you want, then the way to address it is by you helping yourself. Start a group, look for those you want, and you can be large and in charge.
What you are asking for is Blizzard to code around human behavior (or bad behavior) and that is rather difficult to do. There will always be someone who will exploit it and it soon becomes diminishing returns to continue to keep correcting.
