I don’t know how many times I’ve had to swap to dps from tank before it finally stuck.

I don’t think that’s a tool problem, I think that’s a people problem.
Yes but that is you marking yourself wrong on the tool for invites not them inviting in mistake. Yes the tool might not be saving the role but non the less it is you not correcting it when listing. Not the one inviting making the mistake.
Nah, I’ve logged in and had to swap from tank role to a dps multiple times. The current system doesn’t save your preferred role sometimes.
I’ve had this happen on multiple toons

Yes which is a flaw with the system bot with the people inviting you. As you not correcting it when listing is you listing yourself as the wrong role not the one inviting you making the mistake.
As such vary reasonable for them to expect you to fill the role.
So, what you’re saying is they need to fix the bug that doesn’t properly display the correct role for you?
Nah man, I’m not gonna make sure a system is working properly every time I use it.
If that’s a requirement, I’d be better off not using it at all and just using /world to fill groups.

He’s saying on logout even if he was set to dps the next time he’s loged in he’s marked as tank so needs to reset to dps again as dosent save. It’s a common bug I myself need to set myself every time I log in.
But that’s rather basic when listing yourself should be confirming your listing as correct anyways. Once corrected in the listing it stays accurate for the listing.
It is a requirement to make sure your listing is accurate. That is a requirement in any thing you are making a listing on. Just like if you try to sell something if you incorrectly key in 5 vs 50 it is reasonable for people to expect you to sell at 5.
I refuse to check a box 15 times a day.
The game should be able to save it.
This system is trash and has multiple problems
But by all mean, keep trying to tell me how it’s better than RDF

There are weak auras and addons that already correct that for you so you don’t have to what I myself did to fix it as I got that issue.
While yes the tool needs to be fixed that is as said off topic vs the ops issue. The ops issue is the group leaders expecting you to fill that role you signed up as. You not correcting it is your fault not the group leaders.
This is no different than in rdf you picking the wrong role you would still be expected to fill it or be kicked b it rdf makes it hard to kick you and punishes those that kick you. Yes the case we have now is better than rdf for this issue.
Actually it’s blizzards fault for implementing a garbage system…

So you’re just asking for them to fix a bug. This is the only problem you’ve brought up with the current system.
Let’s just assume they release RDF. A much more complex tool, incredibly more complex. You think it’s going to be able to correctly display your role every single time without you having to change it when the “team” at Blizzard can’t even make a completely basic tool like group finder work right?
Yes but that dosent change the ops case example. It is still your fault for not checking.
Retail RDF has 0 problems with this issue.

Yes, RETAIL RDF, RETAIL group finder for mythic+ doesn’t even have this issue either. It is the exact same tool.

And? It working in retail dosent mean it works in wrath this has been proven many times a eg achivment toasts.
If they release RDF, it will be just as untested, and I guarantee due to the complexity of RDF, MUCH more flawed.
