LFG man.... just venting

been sitting in queue for 3 hours with no invites. applying to 12s. 2800 io. have all 11s, and half 12s already. ilvl is on par for the current place in the season, give or take 1 ilvl. 0 invites at all. cant run my own key cuz its an 11. 9 and 11 keys are dead as hell. no1 wants to run them.

i am fully aware that this is a community problem, not a blizz problem, and cant really be fixed (dont say solo queue cuz thats not going to fix anything). just venting while i continue to sit in queue.

How are groups at 12? Debating whether or not to try to get the achievements there.

It’s a nuisance even as a tank if you’re not one of the more favored classes I’m afraid. Currently at just below 2.9k rating and 660 ilvl (warrior), and getting an invite to CB 12 has proven to be nigh impossible.

At least it means that the DPS surplus has lessened, and tanks/healers aren’t as scarce anymore so I’ll take that as a win.

12s are where u actually are spoiled for choice. within 1 min, youll typically have 20+ applicants from 2900-3k. 10s are similar, just with lower io ppl, the vault fillers. hence why 11s are a dead zone. vault fillers just want 10s, and everyone above that wants 12+. mainly because 11s have the affix, 12s dont.

its just ppl reading into the meta way too hard for content that it doesnt require it. i get that DH isnt “meta”, but like if ur not playing ret (which aint even meta either), boomy, ele, or fire mage, u might as well be playing an aug, cuz thats how dead ppl act like ur class is. and with 0 understanding of how classes work. DH may do maybe 10% less overall that the meta specs, but the key is 100% faster with a DH. their funnel is better than any funnel spec has ever been, ever. show me a class that can kill a shredder in floodgate while the rest of the pack is still at 50%, or a voidstone monstrosity in rookery b4 the little fodder adds die.

its just infuriating and feels like it gets worse every season. i mean hell, i was trying to apply to 10s this morning just to warm up, and i was declined from like 20 of them. 200io and 5+ ilvl above every1 else applying, declined. the community for m+ is just gawd awful.

Pretty much the way it goes. Multi chested several 9s, 10’s are the next step to increase IO, I’ve only attempted to join 10’s once but took about 10 mins for an inv and it was a group of people doing 1.5M DPS. Lol

Which it’s just a ‘put in the time until you get a few groups’ issue, but it’s definitely annoying to have to ‘reprove’ yourself every season.

like i said man, just venting. there is no fixing this problem. its just annoying as hell. i get 1 day off from work every 9 days, really sucks spending it in queue.

You just picked a wrong spec to play. When vengence is occupying 80% of keys, they don’t need a havoc in those groups.
Another reason is groups usually want 1-2 melee max. Udk, ret pally, enhance, even rogue have higher priority than havoc.

Makes sense and I know the feeling. Sometimes you just sit and wait even as a healer and often I wonder how many que’s the dps have been queing for with no luck so far.

It is absolutely fixable but Blizzard allows specs to be blatantly gamebreakingly overpowered in M+ for zero legitimate reason.

This is what it’s like even trying to play a rogue and signing up for 13s.
The first accept is the tank inted the key in the first 30 seconds of the dungeon and the other two were being kicked from the group within 5 seconds of accepting.

It’s all clowns. They let god comps go on for the entirety of Dragonflight and it completely brainwashed trash in LFG to only accept the meta comp and nothing else even though I consistently gap every one of these fotm rerollers by 500k-1m every single dungeon on a garbage target capped spec.

It’s hard sitting in a queue for an hour and a half, finally getting in and getting a full group, and then not making it past the first boss. It’s hard to not think of how you could have been playing an hour and a half of another game, actually having fun and getting stuff done.

balance is a blizz thing yeah. but even if every spec was perfectly balanced and did exactly the same damage, the problem would still exist because some classes bring different utility and a meta comp would be made out of that. as far as this season goes, balance is actually really god, other than a few select specs.

in DF that was true, but not in TWW. balance so far has been fairly good. even right now, there is no god comp. theres just some specs that perform a little better, and so the community has treated it like its a god comp, when its not.

TLDR; can blizzard balance more? yeah. does that fix the LFG problem, absolutely not. there is no fixing the LFG problem because its entirely community perception. if content creators say class A B and C do .01% more damage than the rest, the community takes that as law, and will not only invite those 3 specs.

Even if those differences are only material in keys 99.9% of the players will never do.

exactly. metas form because at the top level, those classes are required for 1 reason or another to make the key physically possible to do. completely irrelevant to the overwhelming majority of the m+ community, but thats what they do anyways.

imagine how bad it must be for people who aren’t already playing a meta class

Are you aware that most people applying for these key lvls are like 4 ilvl higher than you? I bet that’s your problem right there.

Could be. I seldomly see 2.9k players with 3.1k exp from S1 sign up for 12s as tanks currently though, it’s mostly people in the 2.6 - 2.8k range with lower s1 exp.

I would of course also pick someone with more ilvl if they had equal qualifications, so I’m not complaining about it, but it’s frustrating for sure.

Blizzard controls the environment in which the community interacts. All community problems are blizzard problems.

Increasing dungeon group size fixes this problem. Even going from 5 mans to 6 mans is a 33% increase in dps per group.

Since most groups are running vdh they will be unlikely to take a havoc dh.

But S1 exp is completely irrelevant. No one cares how good you pull in grim bat when it’s time to pull in priory. I don’t know if people actually look at that, I know I don’t and I’ve been wishing for the addon to wipe that out when new season rolls over.

In this viewpoint, no one is responsible for their own behavior. Sorry, but I hope I’m not the only person who thinks “the game made me do it” is not an excuse for acting in irrational or malicious ways.
