It is nearly impossible to get a group going as we speak for Heroics. I have to whisper bomb people and the number of red automated messages I get saying I am on people’s ignore list just keep growing everyday…

Sounds like a you problem.
Also, making your own group is much easier than trying to find/join one.

LFD wouldn’t fix the lack of tanks. You’d sit in a queue for an hour or more waiting for one. If people are putting you on ignore due to being annoyed, you should just roll your own tank.

Because we really don’t like unsolicited whispers and some people just don’t quit.
Use the LFG tool, or bulletin addon, or get a better guild. Plenty of people on Sulfuras H.
Which server are you playing on? I just started a couple days ago (a little late to the game), but I’ve been doing a lot of instances and mostly not having much difficulty finding groups.
Maybe it’s just easier to get dungeon groups at lower levels?

It’s not needing LFD, it’s that you don’t know basic MMO social skills.

Real easy to say LFD isn’t needed when you have your social constructs set in stone and can take for granted all your PVE access.

Yeah I am completely guilty for putting people like OP on ignore. You people that send multiple tells and fill my chat box are absolutely horrible. There’s no way in hell that I would ever tank for someone who fills my chatbox like that and you’re surprised that everyone has you on ignore?
Im mostly speaking about heroics… Playerbase is split between too many instances on top of being rep gated. Also feels like most playera that could use badges and heroic drops are for the most part raid geard and have few incentives to run them anymore.

I just pugged Trial of Mercy using LFG chat earlier tonight. Adding in LFD from wrath isn’t going to help you get Heroics. The current content isnt designed for automated grouping it would be a nightmare situation.
Multiple tells is a bit excessive but I hope no one is ignoring a player for merely whispering them.

Whats so offensive about politely asking someone to run content… If you dont want anyone talking to you, maybe a single player game would better suit your needs.
LFD was a very effective tool in Wrath, it certainely cannot hurt.

Because people don’t politely ask. They circumvent the fact I have LFG turned off and start spamming me in tells “LF tank”. It’s the most obnoxious BS. I stay out of LFG because I don’t want to do dungeons or pug at all and I still somehow get spammed.
LFD worked in Wrath because the heroics were intentionally significantly easier. It wouldn’t work in TBC.
You have to design your group for certain heroics, and need to have more control over who is in your party. Randoms will cause wipes - and daily saves will cause problems.

I can understand some people would refrain from using the tool, wich is perfectly fine but why deprive others from it. Running with randoms is still better than not running anything at all.
