There is no social aspect. I just came back to the game about two months ago. During that time I leveled a boosted mage, my hunter that was 60 and a warlock that was 60. On those three characters I never finished the Zang dungeon quest that requires SP and UB. It was close to impossible to find groups. Any dungeon I did get into was the same, a simply hi, a mark for CC if needed and on we went. Just stop with this nonsense.
Meanwhile at max level I am gearing my mage. Getting into kara and GL and Heroics is such a pain. Its nothing but boost spam, gdkp spam and it sucks having to shift through all of that to find a group that no one is going to talk in.
Narcissism ladies and gentlemen
My BiS for several phases in TBC were PvP weapons, but it was optional because while they were better - and you could bypass RNG - but since I didn’t want to do arena I didn’t have to even though I would do less DPS.
LFD is optional too. There are people that will use it just because it’s easier, but there are also many players that would rather have it than not because they prefer that kind of grouping. No LFD prevents that option.
No that’s the dumbest thing I’ve read. This isn’t Vanilla, nor is it TBC, It’s wrath, and people want wrath tools, 90% of the community doesn’t want to spam LFG with a third party addon for 3 hours in a capital city with 20k mega server all spamming the same addon.
LFD makes sense it’s wrath, classic andy’s can go play 1-60 som
Everything you post should come with a big [CITATION NEEDED] flag.
The guy believes that Wrath should be made for vanilla fans, and not Wrath fans.
It not stunning if you paid attention to what many of the classic players really wanted and that was the ability to gate keep again. Going back to before nost even launched I was stunned at how toxic the community was and what little foresight there was about what classic was going to be.
And the vast majority of those vanilla and tbc players who asked for classic servers are drum rolls still playing the game. The vast majority of people asking for LFD are a vocal minority of retail tourists, yourself included which I can see with your retail avatar. If you play retail, you are inconsequential, because you will be paying for a subscription for dragonflight weather you play classic or not.
History proves you wrong. It’s human nature that people will take the path of least resistance when its an option available. I’ll bring up a point from asmongold, if you added in a grey quality rat tail that sold for 1,000,000 gold, of course people are going to sell it, even if they acknowledge that it’s bad for the game and shouldn’t be in.
You have no self control so everyone else needs to play how you want. Peak classic andy
If you scroll through there are 25 posts out of 111 that are against Dungeon Finder. They are all by the same person. Where is this majority of players? Shouldn’t more than a handful be responding the vast amount of pro Dungeon Finder.
They’ll tell you that the forums aren’t a representation of the population (which it isn’t a great one, but it is one), and that the people happy with the anti-LFD change won’t post.
They’re both dishonest, as most players are either neutral to positive towards LFD, especially after Classic and BCC.
Oh no, you see, we are a vocal minority who are capable of using the internet. TRUE Classic players are the ones who struggle with joining Discord channels, joining custom in-game channels, finding Youtube videos; and instead use their landline telephone to call Blizzard directly to express their anti-LFD concerns.
I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR 8 YEARS SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
The net was a bit higher but significant sub loss. Wrath for the most part flattened the trajectory of growth.
There weren’t any net sub losses. To have potential sub loss due to growth it’d have to show that WoW’s continued trajectory was sustainable.
12 million, especially in 2009, was a huge number.
Like as i was telling zir. The net was slightly higher but wrath flattened growth curve by a mile. The backlash was real. The term wrath baby existed for a reason.

Yep. Spamming in chat, somebody replying with their info and you saying “OK” is the “social aspect” aspect everybody loves. This is simply a battle of “time” classes. Some people want to gate keep because they know they have the advantage of time. They can spend a couple hours a day building groups. This makes them feel like they have some sort of “accomplishment” in game but really they are just leveraging privilege (extra time) for their own advantage. Most of them wont even use the system, they will queue up in guild groups anyhow. It will barely affect them. It is just a big feel bad because they are intentionally handicapping their progression for the sake of accomplishment and they don’t want to complete with or have LFG people who are diminishing (in their eyes) their achievements. My first year psych evaluation.
