LF Customer support to assist with my case

I know i’ve asked before but im still getting no answer about my case , my account been banned for 8 days now out of 14 , My account was accused of earning gold in illicit means , Which i have not done , i know there have been plenty of players been banned and claiming to be innocent regardless , i have not done RMT , botting in anyway shape perform , I have submited a ticket and provided Screenshots but seemed to be useless , All i did was Trading with a friend a close friend in SOD i gave him gold on retail and he gave me gold on SOD which is not against TOS , after a week i sold some items in trade with a random guy from trade chat cause obviously that’s what trade chat is for … trading/selling items for gold , I have not broken TOS not even close and im still not getting info on what i have done wrong so i can learn to avoid doing it next time , i have opened another ticket last night and still waiting for responds. Can one of the customer service help directing my case to GM to look into , I appreciate your help. It’s really frustrating to be treated wrong when u did nothing bad .

I am sorry Numey, but Blizzard won’t accept screenshots or logs from players. They only use their own logs as evidence in account actions. Sadly there are people who will edit and fake “evidence”.

The CS forums are not a way to get to the front of the ticket queue. There are no GMs here and the Forum Support Agents can’t push you ahead.

The forum is an Information Desk to help folks navigate the Support system, Knowledge base articles, explain services, explain policies, etc.

While the act of exchanging gold is not against the rules, if the gold you got or transferred was illicit gold then the account penalty will stand. I am sharing that so you have an idea what the GMs are looking for in the logs.

EDIT:

Your original Blue reply is here and has not changed.

As a player how are you supposed to know if the guy’s gold is earned in a bad way via RMT botting or such , There’s absolutely no way of knowing, How am i suppose to avoid this in the future? Lets say i sold an item to a guy from the trade chat and boom his gold got me banned again , That’s the root of the problem here , you just simply can’t know if the person you trading with has bad gold , Talking from a player point of view , This is obviously not the player’s fault and need to be checked on and solve this issue. So brighten me , i wanna know how to avoid this. Cause i still stand by my word i have literally done nothing against TOS to receive a suspension.

Blizzard has not discussed their methods of detecting illicit gold transactions, transfers, and laundering.

That will have to be between you and Blizzard. Accounts that are actually dealing in illicit gold, not just receiving it, get perma banned for the record.

This does not answer my question , as a player why am i supposed to be banned for something that’s out of my control? There’s no such input system that shows like " red flag" or something on the player name or if u mouse over the gold it doesnt say " gold is been earned in illicit means dont accept the trade" , Like how’s that a friendly environment for players to be randomly suspended without a warning. Im just trying to understand

Correct. You don’t know, so…

You avoid these types of transactions. Stick to transactions through the AH, or other supported means.

The root of the problem is that despite not knowing where someone got their gold, you continued with an unsupported transaction. It went bad for you, and that’s the risk you take in doing these transactions.

Classic WoW is not an easy place to make gold, so when someone is willing to get rid of gold on those servers…that right there is a major red flag. Gold is easy to make in retail, so why would someone be willing to trade allegedly hard-earned gold in SoD for easy-to-make gold in Retail?

But it is, Numey. As has been communicated to you NUMEROUS times over the last few days, these types of transactions are full of illicit gold and shady people. You are not absolved of any responsibility, because you are willingly participating and, knowingly or unknowingly, helping to perpetuate the rule-breaking.

The warning is really the EULA and policies we agree to follow. Gold buying/selling for real money is a punishable, and bannable offense. Same with any other services or items for real money.

I suppose it is much like buying from a back alley. You can get busted for possession of stolen goods. Gold trading between servers/game versions is not supported and if something goes wrong it is going to be yours to deal with. Trades also need to be done with care - if something is too good to be true (high price for a cheap grey item for example), that can indicate danger.

You will want to appeal and wait on the ticket. If you have done that then there is nothing more that is going to be done here.

Because everyone on the internet tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth, right? I suppose you asked your “close friend” if it was legitimate, and you totally believed them when they said it was, right?

Fair question.

A “supported transaction” is a transaction where Blizzard will protect players from scammers. Generally, these are transactions that happen through the AH or through a single trade window in-game.

An “unsupported transaction” is a transaction that, while technically allowed by the rules, there is no support if it goes bad. This means if the other player doesn’t pay up as agreed, they will be investigated for scamming, but you will not get any gold returned (and you can be actioned, as well). Examples of these transactions are trading Classic gold for Retail gold (as you have found out), loaning gold, /roll gambling, dueling tournaments, Master Looter rules, etc. Basically, anything that cannot be handled through the supported means.

Another thing to remember about unsupported transactions is that while participating in them may not be against the rules, you can still be actioned if they are done illegally. This is where you find yourself. You participated in an unsupported transaction where someone was laundering stolen gold. You have been actioned for your participation in this.

This is a player-to-player forum, with no Blue response ever guaranteed. This is not a means to contact Blizzard. The only way to do that is through an appeal ticket.

Besides, you already received a Blue response days ago, and you continue to ignore it because you didn’t like what they said. Why would they respond more? Just so you can ignore it more and continue to open more threads about this?

Yes, that can happen. The AH has long been used as a means to launder illicit gold or move gold. For many years, people who repeatedly receive gold from gold seller accounts have been actioned for it. Usually it is something obvious like an item going for a very high price when it is not worth that on the market that would help you recognize that.

Just because something is on the AH does not mean Blizzard can’t see the gold trail and a player is immune from penalties.

You sold fabric for the going rate? Great, that is not an issue. You sold a grey apple for 100 times what it is worth…sus.

You have been if you’ve been getting the TEMPLATED responses that your sanction has been upheld. You will not get anything more than that or a TEMPLATED response that it was overturned. You are not going to have a dialog about anything in regards to appeals.

I would be remiss if I didn’t warn you that if you keep creating topics about the same thing - especially after you’ve gotten a locked thread, you can absolutely be sanctioned here on the forums.

Continually posting threads isn’t going to do anything to hurt or help your case. Appealing through the ticket system is your ONLY recourse. If they say no further appeals will be accepted? That’s it. Period. You’re done.

I’m sorry you’re having a time of it, but you have been given an answer by a “Blue” in one of your previous posts. That isn’t going to change no matter how many posts you make - but you are opening yourself up to a potential forum sanction as well if you keep doing this. Good luck with your appeals.
